A Washington IRS attorney named Carter Hull closely oversaw the targeting of conservative nonprofit groups and suggested questions that IRS employees could ask of conservative and Tea Party groups applying for tax-exempt nonprofit status, according to interviews that two IRS employees gave with congressional investigators.
“I was essentially a front person, because I had no autonomy or no authority to act on [applications] without Carter Hull’s influence or input,” said Elizabeth Hofacre, an employee of the Cincinnati IRS office, according to a new report in the Wall Street Journal.
Hofacre’s office, which oversaw tax-exempt applications, reportedly requested help from the agency’s Exempt Organizations Technical unit in Washington, D.C. in 2010 to deal with an influx of new applications from Tea Party groups.

The fragment of the memo posted at the DC isn’t particularly damning, though — it requests a copy of bylaws, financial statements, and publications. I don’t know how routine that is for this type of filing, but it doesn’t match up to the multiple reports of excessive intrusion (content of prayers, names of attendees including minors, etc.).
Looks like the Obama Administration has found its sacrificial lamb.

Obama ordered his IRS to rig the election of 2012 for Obama and democrats/socialists in the Senate. Obama also used other gov agencies to rig the election. Why isn’t anyone shouting this form the rooftops? Come on Levin, coulter , Sarah Palin, Rush, DRudge etc. call Obama out on this and call for Obama’s resignation.
Obama’s IRS prevented many tea party groups from getting started and also audited individual donors to Romney and to the Republican party. The IRS stole the election. We no longer live in a free country
