CAPITOL POLICE SUDDENLY WANTS TO SEE TEA PARTY WEBSITES BEFORE PROTEST APPROVED.
And they are taking weeks to grant the request.
The Tea Party Patriots were planning a rally in Washington DC on Wednesday June 19th.
But they ran into a wall.
The Capitol Police want to see their websites first.
Kevin Mooneyhan from the Tea Party Patriots described this latest assault on the Tea Party:
Below is the timeline of events surrounding our June 19th rally at the Capitol. We haven’t done anything to publicize this event yet because we wanted to make sure we had the permit in hand. You know, follow the rules, do the right thing, etc.
Event Date: June 19, 2013 Permit Submitted: 5/22/2013 via fax
Officer Brown contacted me on 5/23 to ask me 2 questions If we would have a banner and if so what the dimensions would be and how we would hang it.
If we were going to have buses and to make sure that we coordinated with Union Station since the Capitol couldn’t accommodate buses.
The impression that I got was that it would likely be approved in a few days. She told me, “Hopefully the next time you hear from me, it will be to let you know that the permit is approved.”
The following Tuesday, 5/28/13 I reached out to Officer Brown for an update....

Yes, right, they won the close states, the swing states for Hussein.
If everyone (and they attacked everyone who didn’t follow their demand of sitting out or protest voting) had done what they demanded, even the strong Republican states would have gone to Obama. Then just look at the political landscape in the USofA.
That would be their legacy, a total wipeout with even the strongest GOP states falling to Hussein.
What is their legacy - loss of swing states to Hussein - is bad enough. The only reason it wasn’t a million times worse is those people who ignored their nattering and went out and voted for Hussein’s opponent.
As for protest votes, I will tell you this. In the primary in TX, since by then they had all dropped like flies on our side, I voted for Ron Paul.
Can’t stand him, so don’t bother, anyone out there, to tell ME about protest votes.
In the general, I was protesting HUSSEIN. I did not pull a specific lever for his opponent, for whom I was loathe to vote, but I DID vote straight GOP, and that covered everything.
I was too late to the party. The good Mr. Jim Fader got zotted by the mods : )
It's been so fricking cold (due, of course, to global warming) here, we haven't contemplated swimming or even launching our boat, I don't even want to party.......

Did you ever have to correct a defiant child? If so, then you know there has to be an “or else” clause to the statement. And at some point in the past there must be an incident that will lend credence to your “or else.” Otherwise you might as well have threatened to hold your breath or stomp your feet until the child came around. The kid needs to know that if he/she doesn’t shape up there’ll be swats to come.
That’s what Thomas Jefferson meant when he referred to irrigation of the tree of liberty. Peaceful sit-ins and marches are great but they have to pose (if only incidentally) the threat of a more violent action if it is needed. Go back and look at photos of some of the massive demonstrations and marches in Washington. Look at the lines of police along the route and the occasional sniper on convenient rooftops. That is how the government makes its threat and since the demonstrators are unarmed (by D.C. law) it works pretty well, doesn’t it?
Within the past few months though, Americans have purchased enough guns and ammo to equip an army. With rare exceptions, I doubt they were bought just to turn over to the government. I went to a local gunshow last January and was struck by the attitude of the other attendees. Usually happy, most were grim and looking for specific items they needed rather than bargains for stashing in the garage. These were people arming themselves for war.
THAT is the treat we need to make at sit-ins and marches. A statement that we won’t vote for whatever unrepresentative representative is pushing an unpopular bill isn’t going to make them nervous — after all, they count the votes, don’t they? But gently point out that the lamp posts need redecoration and they — at least some of them will understand.
Yep, and what good does a march or protest do if the media refuses to cover it?
Thanks for the reply. I am alos considering these points:
1. Really massive peaceful raliies/protests etc may give strength to those in fedgov, LEO and mil that the people are ready to for a change - a change back to Constitutional governance. From this and that I have heard, many in the mil are utterly angry and disgusted with what’s happening. Know that massive millions of people support a regurn to Constiuttional governance may be just what those in the mil and various fedgov agencies need to start taking the actions they need to take to get us out of thsi hell.
2. I read that in Czechoslovakia a sitting government was overturned by a massive national strike, the so-called Velvet Revolution. No one worked, just milled about the streets, for a several weeks. I’m sure there was more to it than that, but basically everything shut down. The gov was unable to function and quite (was fired...).

And the Krapitol Police would do what? If a million people show up without a “permit”? I’ve always said that if I have to march to defend my rights I’ll be carrying one of the same rifles I was carrying when I first took the oath to defend the Constitution. I have zero tolerance for things like water cannons, tear gas, batons, et al being used on polite, peaceful protesters. The first guy who tries to stop me had better be really, REALLY, good!
That’s about right but here’s the “trick”. I noticed the permit application was “faxed”. Maybe that’s handy but it’s wrong. Walking it in, getting a receipt signature, getting the name of a bureaukrat, doing it all in person, is the way to minimize delay, interference, etc. These are gutless people who will hide behind phones, emails, faxes, etc. Then follow up in person, make the foot-dragger tell you to your face what the problem is. Once, some decades ago, I slugged a desk in Honolulu City Hall after I got three wrong answers, from three different guys, to the same building permit question. Within ten minutes I was at the head of a table talking to every head in the building dept. and within a half hour I had my building permit. Nothing wrong with reverse intimidation and a stare that looks like you might go beeezerk any minute. A healthy bicep is incidental but also helpful.
I’ve done that, too. They can’t hang up on you or ignore you when you are right there.

I’ve read about countries with governments that conduct themselves this way and never thought it would come to this in America.
The people should bring their permits with them. And by permits I mean evil black rifles. 4 million on the Capitol with rifles would send a pretty strong message of what it means to be a Constitutional Republic.
