Feds suggest anti-Muslim speech can be punished
By BYRON TAU | 5/31/13 5:26 PM EDT
A U.S. attorney in Tennessee is reportedly vowing to use federal civil rights statutes to clamp down on offensive and inflammatory speech about Islam.
Bill Killian, U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of Tennessee, was quoted by the Tullahoma News this week suggesting that some inflammatory material on Islam might run afoul of federal civil rights laws.
"We need to educate people about Muslims and their civil rights, and as long as were here, theyre going to be protected," Killian told the newspaper.
Killian, along with the FBI special agent that runs the Knoxville office, are set to speak next week to a special meeting with the local Muslim community, informing them about their rights under federal law.
"This is an educational effort with civil rights laws as they play into freedom of religion and exercising freedom of religion," Killian said about the meeting. "This is also to inform the public what federal laws are in effect and what the consequences are."

Trust your own eyes, and conduct this unbiased assessment of Islam: Google “Koran” and pick one of the 114 chapters at random (they’re short). Then pick another. Keep doing this until you get an idea about what Islam might really be about. If you keep finding that infidels deserve to suffer and die, and wonder if other religions are the same, try the test with the Bible.
TN used to have men like Davy Crockett. Where are freedom-loving men now when they are needed?
The DOJ doesn’t seem to be doing much of a job of protecting us from the degenerate barbarians.
If they did their job, maybe we wouldn’t need to do it for them.
Anti-Christian speech is still okay though, right?
re: “A U.S. attorney in Tennessee is reportedly vowing to use federal civil rights statutes to clamp down on offensive and inflammatory speech about Islam.”
And, of course, he gets to decide what is and is not inflammatory speech.
What makes me think that the threshold for “inflammatory” speech will be much, much lower for Islam than for Christianity?
NO!!! Absolutely not! No special treatment. We can not let this come to be, and it will if we say nothing.
if we say something bad about muslums they sneak up on us and kill us. its for our own protection you see
I’m not violating their civil rights when I admit that they are goat rapers and homosexual murderers of anyone weaker than themselves, like women and little boys. They are dogs following a dog of a false god.
Not if I was to say I want to take away their lives in return, that might be a civil rights violation. Or if I said I WOULD take away their lives that would be. But I’m not saying that, not out loud.
That should have been “Now if I was to say....” not “not”
We are deep into a Marxist dream world under this administration. If we don’t wake up soon it will be too late and another 1000 years of “Dark Ages” will begin for mankind.
We have a right to free speech I don’t remember anything about a right to not be offended. Take two chill pills and don’t bother calling me in the morning
He needs to be recalled.

More proof that our own government is providing aid and comfort to the enemy. This thing will boil over eventually.
So if the Tea Party became a Religion they would leave it alone, Right?
and anti-Christian speech is OK??
...and audited by the IRS...oh, wait...wrong group.
So, when are the feds going to punish the IRS for their anti-Christian activities?
The extinction of Islam should become a national priority.
