It’s probably some kind of trap, or he’s going to make them an offer they can’t refuse, something like that.

They should just call it a “talking points” meeting.

"New York Times executive editor Jill Abramson has announced that her paper will not attend an off-the-record session with Attorney General Eric Holder to discuss the Justice Department's monitoring of reporters, due to the fact that the meeting is to be conducted "off the record." NY Times was already furnished with an advanced copy of the PowerPoint presentation."

Note to self: Do not EVER stop to read a thread during fast moving stories.
Having said that, NYT earned caps for this ping ONLT.
Ping.

"off the record." I checked the article at the link. They really won't attend the off-the-record session because it is "off the record." Why is off-the-record in quotes?
Has being off the record ever stop them from reporting something before?

These NYT and AP scumbags are shifting their eyes back and forth wondering if anybody is actually buying their act. Sure, they’ve now decided to be responsible journalists with integrity and everything, lol! They don’t need an “off the record” meeting with Holder to know what to do - - spin like whirling dervishes and circle the wagons for the African communist scumbag they worked so hard to elect.
It wouldn’t at all surprise me if Holder gave them all a heads up and told them how to react so they could fake being “objective” journ-O-lists.
