Members of the congregation—some of them in wheelchairs—could be seen arguing with the unrepentant wardens for 30 minutes.

But the council workers, who had even targeted cars with blue disabled badges, which were allowed to park, refused to back down.

The bizarre scene unfolded on Sunday morning outside Our Lady and St. Hubert church in Oldbury, West Midlands. …

West Midlands again. Wonder if they would be brave enough to do this to attendees of a masjid . . .

Yes there are Roman Catholics there. I wonder why the weird assault if this was legal parking, or even partly legal parking.

I can guarantee this would not happen outside of a death cult indoctrination center.

They say that the US and Britain are two nations separated by a common language. But it looks like there's at least one phrase that folks on both side of the Pond can understand:

I'M FROM THE GOVERNMENT AND I'M HERE TO HELP

They weren’t being cited for PARKING.

They were being cited for WORSHIPING.

Traffic wardens efficiency ratings are based on how many tickets they give out. They even ticket emergency vehicles at a crash scene or at a fire. One fire truck at a fire was even ticketed along with police cars.

It wasn’t legal, they parked on the red line which is no parking. It wasn’t any plot to persecute Christians.

They don't have to pray in the street as long as their cabs are pointed towards Mecca.

That photo *was* taken in Manhattan and it *does* show dozens of cabs blocking a street near one of those terrorist dens of theirs at “prayer” time.I lost the link...sorry,but the photo, and its description, are true.

Well if it was so then it was so. I don’t know the whole background. I’d hope that church parking zones would be accommodated on Sundays. Britain would profit from the presence of more Christians that serious, not less.

Not true. Blue disable badge holders are only allowed to park on red routes to allow loading or unloading.

Assumes facts not in evidence. Is this same enforcement taking place outside of CoE buildings or Mosques?

Which presumably later get quashed, but hey they wrote the tickets. An Alice in Wonderland situation, it appears? A big charade?

Assuming you're correct...that it was a *clearly* marked "no parking" zone...then perhaps it's OK.But at the very least they could have let the folks who had handicapped placards off with just a warning.
