The reasons you have supported the Boy Scouts of America for more than 103 years have not changed. We will continue to be a leader in youth development and our Scouts will continue to be committed to their communities. With more than 2.6 million youth members, last year Scouts collected over seven million pounds of food for the hungry and contributed more than 13 million hours of service to their communities, and more than 57,000 Scouts earned the rank of Eagle – our largest class ever.
After embarking on months of comprehensive discussion and receiving an outpouring of support and feedback, the Board of Directors and key members of local council leadership voted on the following resolution:
Youth membership in the Boy Scouts of America is open to all youth who meet the specific membership requirements to join the Cub Scout, Boy Scout, Varsity Scout, Sea Scout, and Venturing programs. Membership in any program of the Boy Scouts of America requires the youth member to (a) subscribe to and abide by the values expressed in the Scout Oath and Scout Law, (b) subscribe to and abide by the precepts of the Declaration of Religious Principle (duty to God), and (c) demonstrate behavior that exemplifies the highest level of good conduct and respect for others and is consistent at all times with the values expressed in the Scout Oath and Scout Law. No youth may be denied membership in the Boy Scouts of America on the basis of sexual orientation or preference alone. (emphasis added by SoFloFreeper)
The result of their vote determined that the Boy Scouts of America would adopt this resolution effective January 1, 2014. While we understand you may not agree with this decision we appreciate your continued support and dedication to Scouting and our young people.

Who do you think pays the salary of these BSA “Directors”? It’s not much different than politics. These guys/gals working for BSA have mortgages to pay and do what the those with the money want them to do.
BSA Director is a $130,000 job according to the glassdoor salary website. If AT&T pulls their money there will be a lot less “directors” guaranteed.

We scoutmasters may be a tougher breed than you give us credit for. I am sure there are some that will give in, but there are those of us that know the fight isn’t over. Do not expect me to bend over and take it.
So, what about the youth that have a preference/orientation for animals? Will the BSA now include those youth, or face discrimination charges?
When you base membership on sexual preferences, you open Pandora's box. Why not keep with tradition and NOT mention sexual preference, but continue to lead members to serve God and country?

I encourage people to find an alternative to the song “God Bless America.” The royalties of this song benefits the anti-traditional family God Bless America Foundation and raises between $100,000 - $800,000 a year for anti-traditional family value scouting programs.

Updated 2011 figures released today by the Episcopal Church Office of Research show that the U.S.-based denomination’s membership continues to decline, while the church’s attendance largely remained the same as the previous year.
The figures show a continued drop in membership from 1,951,907 members in 2010 down to 1,923,046 in 2011, a decline of 28,861 persons. The number of total parishes dropped from 6,794 in 2010 to 6,736 in 2011, a decline of 58 congregations.

Unrelated to this, our church is going to have a major meeting of men this coming Tuesday to focus on how men need to regain their leadership roles in the church and in their families. I would think that an additional thing that should be discussed is the need to more actively raise our sons to be men. The demise of the Boy Scouts and its transformation into the feminized Gay Scouts should be Exhibit 1 in how we need to stop letting the depraved secular culture dictate our lives and beliefs.
It's just a first step to an inevitable outcome. And there's no turning back. The Scouts are done.
There is nothing gay about queers. They are nasty scheming perverts that have a single objective. Once they have access as scouts, they will be junior leaders and will be soon thereafter perverting the whole bunch. Then the squealing will begin that if you can have queer scouts then you’ve got to have their idols .... queer scout leaders. Best just to distance yourself and let them commence to rotting.
And they should have to explain what “Gay” means in terms of their sexual preferences.....specifically so other scouts will know what defines gays.....the way they define themselves.
Also where does the previously deep medical concerns about exposure to “gay” HIV/AIDS through exposure to bodily fluids fit? That’s why law enforcement and medical professionals are overly cautious to protect themselves. Why not protect scouts as well?
The Law Suit to require homosexual men, particularly those that where recently homosexual Boy Scouts, to be allowed positions in both the volunteer and professional ranks of Scouting. Now that hey have admitted Gay boys they will be required to allow those boys to continue on in the organization after they matriculate to adult buggery.
In July 2012 last year, after an eleven member BSA committee studied the membership policy for two years they concluded that the prohibition on open and avowed homosexuality was “the absolute best policy” for the BSA according to the Associated Press. Then the Homo lobby put bid pressure on corporate sponsors and board members. That turned it. They where hell bent to not lose corporate money.
What they don’t understand is once the pressure is off, the corporations will NOT make up the loss of private funding AND the massive loss of members and volunteers will be irreversible. The Homo Lobby is generally not exactly a large or very generous organization either in money or spirit. They BSA are doomed to be significantly smaller and less important organization. They may possibly go under.
Boy Scouts where already ‘uncool’ to most boys. They are now going to be ‘uncool faggots’.
Did you write a letter explaining that you will never again give a penny to their perverted organization? If not, do so and use their postage paid return envelope to send it along with a check made out for $5,000 with the word VOID over the entire check.

Yep. I was a scout about 15 years ago myself. We were told we had to admit girls or close. We closed. So did most of the other chapters.
That’s exactly what needs to occur. A completely new Scouting organization. One that truly represents decency and morality and character, and won’t fold like the pathetic, cowardly scum of the BSA. I’d donate both time and money. Let the BSA do what it wants, and become a repository for creeps and molesters. Let it become a flaming showpiece for the Dem Convention’s arena of unholy freaks, to be trotted out every four years. Decent families need a better option.
