Earlier this week, in a feeble attempt at humor on Facebook, I posted: “If you haven’t been audited by the IRS during the Obama administration, can you even call yourself a conservative?” Given the scale of the abuses, I should probably just shorten it and say, “Only RINOs don’t get audited.” My wife and I got audited in 2011, with the IRS examining every inch of our adoption the previous year. The process was painful, but we got through it, and our refund may have been adjusted by a few dollars (the amount of the adjustment was so small, I don’t actually remember). In other words, the audit was a gigantic waste of time — for the IRS and for our family. A Facebook commenter, however, pointed me to a report that made me rethink the experience.

What struck me about this, was the unmistakable impression that adoptive families were being punished, as if the agency wanted fewer adoptions so more fetuses would be aborted.
It was just creepy to read about.
Why would you target adoptive families? It makes no sense at all.

Adoptive parents get so much federal money it is unreal. I know people who basically retired on it.
Meanwhile, parents of biological children foot the bill.
You know the Left/Obama Administration has been warring against those that espouse the views of pro-life, Christianity, anti-sodomy, tea party, pro-constitution, disclosure of the truth, those that are concerned about the infiltration of the government by the Muslim Brotherhood, those that call ‘terrorist’ acts by their rightful name, etc. What I did not realize, until I read this article, was just how all-encompassing this war is and to what depths they will stoop to achieve their ends. To punish people for saving children from death (by giving the moms an alternative to murdering their babies) or a terrible life in another country with poverty & deprivation is worse than unconscionable. You used the word “evil” and I believe that particular shoe fits the Left in general and Obama and his thugs in particular. The IRS needs to go. Period. So does Obama/Moochelle & his gang of America destroyers ..... and hopefully, there will be some smoldering ruins remaining that we can build back.

Maybe you’re talking of the money paid to foster parents, but as an adoptive mother of three, I can testify I never got one red cent from the feds. Nor has any other adoptive family I know.
This is not “federal money.” This is a tax break, allowing them to keep some of their own money.
I agree with your thoughts and sentiments.
The problem with getting ride of the Obamas, is that even when they and their ‘crew’ are gone, the government is saturated with their fellow travelers.
Washington needs to be fumigated. We literally need to swap out our complete Washington infrastructure. Unless we do that, we should recognize each Republican administration for what it truly is, merely a place marker where the Leftists can pick up from when they occupy the White House again.

When my adoptive children were younger, I noticed I got the cold shoulder from one of the other moms in waiting rooms while waiting for my children’s activities to end. My kids look nothing like we parents, so it’s obvious they’re adopted.
Finally, while talking about our kids, this mother blurted out, “Your kids are probably from prostitutes.” The entire waiting room was stunned. When she left, another mother explained she was a big pro-abortion advocate.
Since then, I’ve learned that adoptive parents and pro abortion advocates tend to be on opposite sides. Adoption remains the moral solution to unplanned pregnancies the other side finds discomforting.
BTW: Did she say this in front of your kids?
If she did, I would report it to the program directors.
She shouldn’t be anywhere near others, if she’s that damaged.

I have friends who adopted Russian babies, infants. Two different families, adopting thrown away children from the liberal Utopian wreckage of the Soviet Union.
Giving a human being a chance at a decent life is a wonderful thing. Deriding where child may have come from and supporting murder is just deranged.
But then, that’s liberalism, isn’t it? Kill the infant, rather than let a person become all they can be.

I was audited last year. I had to provide duplicate copies to three separate offices for 2008, 2009, and 2010 related to our 2007 adoption.
It changes when one Republican with a spine starts demanding political diversity at our K-12, community college, and University Campuses.
If diversity is truly what the Left likes, and they’ve said so for the 60 years I’ve been alive, then they should welcome it.
Well, we “seem” to be seeing a couple of Republicans with spine dragging these cretins into the light at the hearings.
I’m glad we have Issa and Gowdy hammering at them.

Well... I’m in wait and see mode with regard to the hearings. I look back on the Clinton hearings and recall seeing them overlook a pastel of criminal acts, to let them all skate.
Remember Chelsea’s former baby-sitter? She took a call on the afternoon when Foster was found dead, and that call was to inform a person that Foster was dead. Strange thing is, it’s likely that call was made before he was found.
Senator D’Amato was such a cocky ass, he refused to allow this young woman to be questioned, and made jokes about it right there in the Senate.
So no, I’m not holding my breath.
