Commanders have advised troops not to wear uniform travelling to and from work or outside bases following the brutal killing of a member of the military close to Woolwich barracks.
Defence sources said the order had been given that uniform should not be worn by those travelling alone, or on public transport as a "common sense precaution" immediately after the killing.

The better choice would be to REQUIRE them to wear their uniform AND ARM them.
HEAR HEAR
A soldier does not need to wear a uniform to recognize he is a soldier.
The PM didn’t make international comments every time something happened either.
You can’t even have a firearm on base, in the US.
Quote from one of the attackers:
“Remove your government, they don’t care about you.”
Exemplefied by the government’s desire to keep folks from being able to protect themselves.
Without an equalizer, it’s “might makes right”.
The Changing of the Guard in Blue Jeans should be quite inspiring/. I award PM Cameron a White Feather.
Why advise your troops not to wear their uniforms? For heaven’s sake.
Warn the citizenry that this type of activity will not be tolerated, and then put some teeth into it.
This is like retreating on your own soil. I’d have none of it!
Try moving on a US base with a weapon if you aren’t a cop or on your way to or from the range.
Fort Hood, as you may recall, Maj. Hasan was the only armed man there, until cops arrived. . .
This is ridiculous. In addition, the soldier who was killed wasn’t even wearing a uniform.
The Muslims were hanging around near the gate waiting for someone to come out, and he walked out wearing the equivalent of a “Wounded Warriors” tee shirt (no uniform) and they attacked him and cut his head off while the rest of the Brits stood by watching.
Well, no, a group of women did try to help him. But the men present didn’t intervene and in fact obligingly took photos of the killers at the request of the latter, nobody came out from the armory, it took the police 20 minutes to get there...heck, why not just hand the country over the Muslims right now?
They need not worry about being dropped from 5K feet AGL. . .
After all, they will live or die, as Allah wills. . . (evil grin)
Should they refrain from speaking English in public?
This is an unstable situation. Western men are going to "snap" en masse.
“Never give in. Never give in. Never, never, never, neverin nothing, great or small, large or pettynever give in, except to convictions of honour and good sense. Never yield to force. Never yield to the apparently overwhelming might of the enemy.”
How the mighty have fallen.
Any active duty military person above the rank of corporal should be given the same rights and responsibilities as a police officer. Open carry or Concealed carry should be mandatory. They should receive all the training they need to be responsible keepers of the piece.
So soldiers have to hide the fact they are soldiers in order to control the whacked out Muslim killers,,and the UK is ok with this? I am thinking the U.S. is not far behind.
THAT was the response “after the attack”???!!!?!!!??
Troops not wearing their military uniforms will be viewed as a sign of weakness by Islamists, as though the infidels are caving to violence. I would go in the exact opposite direction. I would have the troops wear their uniforms with one badge that says “Infidel” and another badge of a cartoon head of Muhammad. If safety is a concern, I’d allow the troops to carry their military grade guns and to shoot first and ask questions later if a non-true Englishman becomes confrontational.
“The woman who stepped off the bus to confront the Muslim murderers and the woman police officer who shot them are the new face of British resistance to evil.”
Reason: Women don’t want to have their clitoris and vaginal lips hacked off and then be crammed into a burqua.
British men are now whimps, disarmed one, too.
The recent elections were for local offices. The next Parliamentary election will be in 2015.
Londonistan caves. Again.
