Dead Boston bombing suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev and another man who was killed by the FBI on Wednesday murdered three people in Massachusetts after a drug deal went wrong in 2011, law enforcement sources tell NBC News.
Sources say that what began as a drug ripoff ended in a triple homicide when Tsarnaev and friend Ibragim Todashev realized their victims would later be able to identify them.
Todashev was killed by a federal agent while giving a statement on his role on Wednesday in Orlando, Fla.
The man who was shot, Todashev, 27, allegedly attacked an agent with a knife while confessing to the 3-year-old slayings. He was not suspected of having played any role in the bombing that killed three people and injured scores more in April, but he did confess to being involved in a brutal Boston-area slaying two years ago, investigators said.

I call BS for the stated cause of the shooting. A law enforcement officer was interviewing a person suspected murderer without first conducting a search of the individual for weapons? Where does that happen? Perhaps the dead individual had information regarding the Boston bombing that would have been damaging to either the FBI or Obozo!
No, it wasn’t at the FBI office. He was being questioned at his girlfriend’s apartment. Of course, that makes no sense. It also doesn’t make sense that his friend, after three hours of questioning, was told to leave. Where was the girlfriend during all this? Anyway, there are no witnesses other than the Boston FBI agent and two other Boston officers. Now, why wasn’t there a FL officer present, huh? Everyone knows LE is protective of their turf so why did they keep FL out of the loop? Again, keeping the witnesses at a minimum. Most suspects are handcuffed, searched for weapons and taken down to headquarters. Most are then Mirandized and can call their lawyers. Most are then video taped while they confess to their crimes, especially if it’s a murder/s. Then their statements are officially written up before they sign. But, noooo, not this time. Nope, the whole thing stinks. Either he was set up or he was shut up forever.
No, his friend, Khusn Taramov, said the FBI showed up at 7:30 pm. The death occurred shortly after midnight.
Oh, now there’s Orlando cops? This is the first time I’ve seen this. All the previous articles said there was one Boston FBI and two Boston state police but no one from FL LE which is strange. The friend has said repeatedly there were three officers inside. So, have they just now realized they needed to get some local law enforcement in on this because not working with the locals looks suspicious?
He may not have been in the house alone, since he was reportedly married. That is, the other LEOs may have been keeping an eye on other people. Also, they were qeustioning him in his own apartment in a run-down area where there are evidently a lot of Chechens living, so it’s also possible that the others were watching for “assistance” from his Chechen buddies and then Todashev (who is an MMA specialist) went jihadi on the FBI agent and grabbed a knife.
Conspiracy to protect jihadis is always possible in the Obama regime, but I don’t think this was a case of it.
I hope you're right. I'd prefer to see him dead, personally, but I honestly think the current government is going to try to protect him at all costs and if he goes to jail, it's not going to be for long. I think that if he does come to trial they'll probably just deport him back to Russia and hope the Russians will deal with him.
Anyway, they won. Obama is already releasing more terrorists from Guantanamo, I suppose in request to the demands of the Boston bombers.
Maybe he implicated one of the protected class Saudi families so they just executed him to silence him, and then planted a knife on the corpse.
Didn’t the triple slayings happen on 9/11 as well?
I’m with Livius.
Hmmmm. Kind of curious. Where was the agent during the triple murder? Just sayin’.
If only they had taken the grass and distributed it, it wouldn’t have been a hate crime./s
