Russia has sent a dozen or more warships to patrol waters near its naval base in Syria, a buildup that US and European officials see as a newly aggressive stance meant partly to warn the West and Israel not to intervene in Syria's bloody civil war, The Wall Street Journal reported Friday.
On Thursday, Syria's official news agency SANA reported that five Russian warships had crossed the Suez Canal and entered the Mediterranean Sea. A Russian Navy spokesperson said this was the first time in decades that Pacific Ocean Russian warships sail in the area.

Their Islamic-Communist PATSY is in the White Hut
to give them what he could not before the Election by Fraud.
Makes you wonder why the Black Sea fleet didn’t sortie. They already sent an aircraft carrier last year for a brief appearance.
"...if I can get enough scandals going, the media won't cover your shipment of missiles to Syria"
Obama: "After my election I have more flexibility..."
Putin: "Fine. Bend over..."
Russia will NOT give up it’s warm water port!
Hmmm? Ships around a naval base. What could be going on there?
Look at the bright side. American women can get free birth control.
Yeah.... is this really news? Aren't ships expected to be around naval bases?
C’mon, if both sides don’t escalate this thing, it will take decades to completely eradicate the Syrians.
The ships are going to repossess the unpaid for weapons before Syria falls
Read earlier that we were not going to get involved there and that the White House was leaving it up to the Russians.
“A Russian Navy spokesperson said this was the first time in decades that Pacific Ocean Russian warships sail in the area.”
I’m surprised they got their anchors out of the mud to “sail” anywhere.
The Russians get it — Assad is the lesser of two evils — the other being AlQaeda in the form of the “rebels”
If there is any possible way for the Syrian revolutionaries to send an anti-ship missile at these ships, it would be worth it. Especially if it was a Russian made missile.
Thanks Fennie.
