Brad Pitt wishes a "long and healthy life" for his fiancée Angelina Jolie.
The Hollywood actress made the decision after genetic tests revealed she had an 87 per cent chance of developing breast cancer and a 50 per cent chance of ovarian cancer.
Brad, 49, today hailed Angelina for showing such bravery during the process.
"Having witnessed this decision firsthand, I find Angie's choice, as well as so many others like her, absolutely heroic," he told British newspaper The London Evening Standard. "I thank our medical team for their care and focus. All I want for is for her to have a long and healthy life, with myself and our children. This is a happy day for our family."

About 15 minutes ago, heard a local news story on this ... interviewed a doctor at a well-known cancer center. The BRAC test cost $3-5,000. Insurance (prior to Obamacare - my note) will often cover the cost if there is a family history or if certain cancers show up at an early age.
With the latest IRS criminal activity and who they are targeting, I’m sure that people of the liberal ilk will get their tests paid for ... if you have guns (as determined by your doc) or any evidence of conservative leanings of any sort, I can see “denied” or “disallowed” being the decision under Obamacare. Just sayin’ ....
Im the enemy for pointing out the truth.>>>>>>>>>>
Take confidence in the fact that you are true and right.
Many Freepers are knee jerk posters who swallow the populist pap generated by the Obama pop culture media machine.
Lara Cropped and Brad Spitt are hardly what one would call
supporters of the Constitution , they are moral priggs who suppose they are much more superior to the common man and woman, and they have no hesitation to reduce individual freedoms in order to impose their views.
What Lara Cropped did to herself is self mutilation, a cause celebre to change her name to “Tora Titov.” This act is in keeping with their leftist extremism. Gene therapy would have solved her personal fears, and she has the money to have it done periodically.
Flying in the face of her own feminity, Lara Cropped should be pitied, and now as she searches for the fountain of youth, never will she go quietly into the darkness of the death that awaits all human beings. Lara Cropped will not age gracefully, a hangnail on her toe will require immediate amputation....in extremis.Soon we will see her hobbling around the verges of the utopian liberal fascist crowd she emulates and admires.
Lara Cropped is running on empty.
Keep up the good work.
not sure self-mutilation as a contingency is such a good idea, but it sure makes a great distraction from teh real news of the day....
How many women scraping by on Obamacare will ever get this quality of care for a potential risk? Not many.
Brad Pitt ...six kids....He should shut up & marry her.
I actually know a women who had this done years ago. She gave an interview as well. Locally, it made the news and it made it into a national magazine. Her grandmother, mother and older sisters had already had breast cancer. To women with the potential risk, Angelina’s story is news. I just thank God it does not run in my family. And you men, you can die from breast cancer, too. Pay attention.
you have no idea what you are talking about.
Piss Off.
He knows what he's doing.
Marry her? What for?
She is not heroic. She is a fool.
Yawn. Tired of Hollywood types who think they’re more important than the average American.
He’ll be running around on her soon.
she is still a skank
The IRS? It's more like the IRSS
The word heroic has seen better days. It used to mean accomplishing feats no ordinary mortal could. These days, it’s devolved towards meaning not committing suicide upon being afflicted with a potentially terminal disease. By the old standard, I personally knew just one hero - a WWII Army Ranger who earned a Bronze Star with V device for his service in Europe. By the current standard, I know dozens of heroes, given that it now means anyone who’s ever dealt with a serious disease.
I will be happy to post it. Although, it makes FR look like DU because of the witless posts.

btw, take note of what people have had to actually deal with Cancer have to say about it...instead of the witless folks who have never had to face tough decisions about Chemo, radiation, excrutiating pain, and who will take care of the kids, etc.
No one else has said the obvious so here it goes: Her boobs were so small it should not have been hard to make an early determination of any sort of lump. She was probably not even a full A cup. I think she has some serious issues other than the statistical chance of breast cancer.
