An AP reporter asked, The president did use the word 'if these activities had taken place,' but there has been an acknowledgement on the part of the IRS leadership that these things did indeed occur. I wondered why the president used that phrasing in claiming that it was outrageous?"
Carneys response: Those from the IRS that have spoken about this obviously have much greater insight into what took place than we do. We have not seen the report. We have not independently collected information about what transpired. We need the independent inspector general's report to be released before we can make judgments. One person's view of what actions were taken or what that individual did is not enough for us to say something concretely happened that was inappropriate.
In other words, the IRS apology may have been wrongheaded. Carney is apparently unaware of the first rule of holes: stop digging.

Oops, my apologies, we are in agreement with the sentiment.
I saw the wrong word in the asterisks.
Yes, the GOP is equally to blame for Hussein’s success against America.

It all sounds like the same nonsense to me....
So what was it they apologized for?
I hope they man the hell up and do their jobs, but the truth is and the facts show, that at any time since 2010, the Bhoner Brigade could have stopped him cold. Every time he exceeded authority they could have defunded his ability to carry out his agenda. Every time they had him dead to rights, they sent out cover fire to excuse him and ‘work together for the American People”.
I wish more people would see that. But when half of FR refuses to entertain the idea, much less accept it, there is little chance the general public ever will.

The situation is fluid. /s
Are you nuts? Bob was FAR better at this than Jay!
The poor dear...
I had to read what you wrote twice....THEN I burst into laughter.
As I will find myself saying more and more, "Good Lord. Do these people stop for ONE ****ING SECOND to listen to themselves, just to check if they sound totally bat-s**t crazy???!?"
My favorite of the day was the claim that the IRS actions were not politically motivated...
Yeah, we have absolutely no idea who did what, but whatever was done by whomever was certainly not politically motivated.
If only Muslims hated the IRS as much as we do they might garner some support.
Heh.
:)
LOL - good one Sacajaweau...
