Carbon dioxide levels reach all-time high prompting new warnings about climate change

Carbon dioxide levels have reached its highest throughout human history, recent figures from a US monitoring station show.

The level in our atmosphere is now at a record high 400 parts per million, prompting renewed warnings of the ‘huge risks’ of climate change.

The shocking figures, which have risen from 270ppm before the Industrial Revolution, is a result of human activity such as burning of fossil fuels and deforestation.

The preliminary figures have come from the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Association (NOAA) monitoring station in Hawaii.

The greenhouse gas has not been at such high levels for around three million years.

The prehistoric climate had anaverage temperatures were 2C-3C higher and sea levels were around 20 metres above what they are today, Bob Ward of the Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment at London School of Economics, said.

‘We are creating a prehistoric climate in which human societies will face huge and potentially catastrophic risks.

‘Only by urgently reducing global emissions will we be able to bring carbon dioxide levels down and avoid the full consequences of turning back the climate clock by three million years,’ he said.

Greenpeace UK executive director John Sauven said: ‘Our common future is now bound up with this one simple measurement, the concentration of CO2 in the atmosphere, and it now stands well above what some of our greatest scientific minds say is safe.

‘The implications are grave, we're facing major adverse planetary changes, our seasons are shifting faster than we thought possible, but even now there is still cause for hope.

MSM (mainline socialist moderators) are busy eagerly spreading this pseudo scientific bulletin all over the ether. If it is near a volcano It would be nice to have a pic and a map showing where this one station reporting this phenom is at.

If these warming theorists could just get temperatures to cooperate with their predictions, they could be the greatest social engineers ever. Shame on the earth for not cooperating. Temperatures haven’t risen for more than a decade, sea levels aren’t rising, the north and south poles are still iced over, weather comes and goes like it always has. It’s just a bummer for warming theorists who believe their own lies.

"The prehistoric climate had anaverage temperatures were 2C-3C higher and sea levels were around 20 metres above what they are today, Bob Ward of the Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment at London School of Economics, said."

Note that Bob didn't mention what CO2 levels were in prehistoric times. You think he knows that they were lower, even though the average surface temperatures were higher, and that mentioning that fact would destroy all credibility in the globaloney warming myth?

This will create a health risk, hence it will handled by the IRS.

400 parts per million

So we are talking about a molecular level change in CO2 causing the entire earth's climate to change. If that minute level of change can cause catastrophic climate change we would have died out as a species millions of years ago when a single volcano belched out some green house gasses.

From Wikipedia:

Carbon dioxide

Carbon dioxide concentration during the mid Pliocene has been estimated at around 400 ppmv from 13C/12C ratio in organic marine matter[11] and stomatal density of fossilized leaves,[12] decreasing carbon dioxide levels during late Pliocene may have contributed substantially to global cooling and the onset of northern hemisphere glaciation.

Of course that assumes that the CO2 data are legitimate, statistically valid, and unfudged.

Actually, since they're useful to libs (liars and charlatans), it's pretty much a given that they're NOT any of that stuff.

They are pretty much wrong. The isthmus of Panama closed and triggered glaciation. Decreasing CO2 was a bit player, just a minor amplifier of the cooling.

CO2 measurements are about the most well-studied and repeated part of the global warming controversy. People who point out that Mauna Loa is contaminated by a volcano have not looked at the science. There are literally zero locations where CO2 has been measured that do not display the rise and seasonal cycle (peak of CO2 around April before the northern hemisphere vegetation kicks in and starts drawing it down).

No one saw this coming. (/s)

My favorite consequence projected by the the CAGW crowd: Someone recently stated that global warming tends to cause more women to go into prostitution.

CO2 truly is the Left’s boogeyman.

(And the CAGW “scientists” are desperately trying to explain why we haven’t had warming for over 15 years; or are fudging their data to say that we have had warming after all.)
