(Newser) Any out-of-work NFL player can get arrested for DUI. But it takes a special kind of dedication to get arrested 15 hours later for breaking into an impound lot in broad daylight in an attempt to get your car back. Titus Young allegedly has that dedication; police tell the Press Enterprise that he was busted just after midnight on Sunday after police spotted him driving his black Ford Mustang into oncoming traffic. He was arrested and his vehicle impounded.
Then at 2:22pm on Sunday, witnesses reported a man jumping a fence into the impound lot, and police found Young when they arrived. A wide receiver by trade, Young was released by the Detroit Lions last year. St. Louis claimed him off waivers, but released him in turn 10 days later. A Detroit News report back in January indicated that the Tigers believed he had "serious" emotional and mental issues, and had urged him to get help.
Titus?! Noooooo! What were you thinking?
Oh, how the Amish have fallen...tisk, tisk
I’m curious how he scored on the Wonderlic test...
future Viking loveboat cruise director.
“Detroit News report back in January indicated that the Tigers...”
Tigers? who?
A recent article about Titus’ actions at an AT&T store suggest that Titus’ Wonderlic store may have been in the negatives.
“Living in The Detroit suburbs and working for AT&T I would regularly get Lions players in my store. One of particular note was Titus Young. One night he came up after we had closed and started banging on the door. We couldn’t unlock the doors because of policy, but he proceeded to hold up his driver’s license to the window and say, “Do you know who I am?? I’m Titus Young”. We ignored him.
The next day he came back during business hours and started yelling that we wouldn’t let him in. He also demanded everything in the store should have been given to him for free. He had his sister with him who seemed like his assistant at the time. She was extremely professional and nice, almost like a parent trying to keep their child in line. After his sister took over dealing with us, Titus fell asleep on the bench and started snoring extremely loud in front of the other customers and employees. [...]
A picture of Titus snoring is attached. Enjoy!”
No, this is one of a long line of former and current LIONS who have no character, no sense, and low athletic talent.
As for the Tigers, best team in baseball and solid citizens to a man. Don't flame me about Cabrera. He has been sober for over a year and is flirting with the triple crown, again. Any team in baseball would welcome him with open arms and a blank checkbook.
I sh*t you not, I opened this thread fully expecting to read about a Vikings player.

Here's Titus slugging an opponent. Who's wearing a helmet.
He’s another Charles Rogers (also ex-Detroit Lion WR). It’s truly staggering how somebody can blow such an opportunity. He’s said he thinks he’s better than Calvin Johnson - lol. While he is a talented WR, he obviously has a higher regard for his ability than anybody else. I’m sure he just can’t understand why. People have tried to help him, he’s a diva that knows better than everybody - listens to none. He obviously has issues...that and he’s an idiot.
Personally, I think *I’m* the greatest WR to have ever lived - I just never played the game ;)
What a low life.
Maybe he’ll show up on “Hard Core Pawn.”
Tigers?.......
I thought.....COWBOYS........
Just some more proof you cannot buy class if it is not in your DNA no matter how much money you earn.
Like it or not - depending on the player and the position - the sport of professional football is basically a case of getting paid for taking peoples’ heads off. Much like military veterans how have trouble reintegrating into society you have the same sort of thing going on here. Just like when they enter the league and they receive training on how to manager their newfound wealth and success they should also receive training when their careers are over on how to deal with the new phase of their lives. Maybe they already do, I don’t know. Wouldn’t prevent every one of these situations but I do feel sorry for these people who’ve been trained and rewarded for controlled violence their whole lives and now are basically cast aside for younger versions of themselves.
Punk never heard of Paul Warfield, Miami Dolphins, has he?
Does he go by Tit-us or Ti-tus?
