"Our children and grandchildren ... if they exist in a world that has been devastated by these consequences that have been predicted and are beginning to unfold -- they would be well justified in asking of us: 'What in the hell were you thinking? And what in the hell were you doing? And why were you so willfully blind of what was happening on your watch?'"
Gore was speaking at the Milken Institute Global Conference, the same venue where he presented a global-warming slideshow several years ago that led to the film An Inconvenient Truth. Gore said the 2006 movie directed by Davis Guggenheim would not have existed had it not been for a Milken presentation on the subject.
The former vice president also took some non-partisan shots at lobbyists and some partisan shots at the Iraq War, Republicans, and in particular the Tea Party, which he said, "has a lot of astro-turf in it," adding that he thinks "a lot of good people" have been lead astray by the movement.
He may have accidentally found some common ground with the Tea Party, though, when he spoke of an inept government that shouldn't be relied on to solve all problems.
"Since the United States government is so neurotic and dysfunctional and pathetic and paralyzed, we the people have to lift it back up and make it work again," he said.

That these supposed leaders of business and finance should be such easy marks for his bombast tells you everything you need to know about the state of our economic soundness.

According to his website he wasn’t really guilty, he just plead guilty to protect his family:

He admitted conduct that resulted - during a brief period in his 20 years on Wall Street - in five violations. Although such conduct had never before (nor has since) been prosecuted criminally - a fact rarely mentioned in press reports - he resolved the case without a trial to prevent further impact on his family. After paying a $200 million fine and serving a one-year-and-10-month sentence, he resumed his philanthropic work.”
Big government that gore loves so much can’t even predict a terrorist when the intelligence services of at least two major forces in the war on terror actually point out by name, and in writing, a terrorist on our own soil. Those are concrete facts. How can that government predict and manage something so abstract and uncertain as future weather?
He’s got over 300 mil. How much more does he want? He can’t possibly spend it all in the time he has remaining.
That BS takes the place of faith for most of these people who support his Global Warming junk science!

Hey Algore. I put the Global Warming in a LOCKBOX. Now there’s no more Global warming for our children and our children’s children.
Gore should take his shtick to China and India. I’m sure they’d welcome him with open arms.
