It was largely overshadowed by the Boston bombing, but on April 18, Sen. John McCain gave what might have been an important speech at the Center for a New American Security.
It was clearly aimed at rhetorically pushing back at the non-interventionist Rand Paul wing of the GOP, but at the end of the speech, McCain took things to a new level: [T]here are times these days, he said, when I feel that I have more in common on foreign policy with President Obama than I do with some in my own party.

Six--Half-dozen
Yes exactly. Except we had people here singing his praises too last time he ran.
Many of us tried to tell them, but no, they were sure they had the best guy and couldn’t be bothered.
This guy has enabled more crap in Washington, D. C. than anyone. McCain was the highest dollar recipient in the Keating affair, and yet he skated.
He was a good friend of Ted Kennedy, shared way too many of his views, and set up a non-profit with Soros, Teressa Heinz Kerry, with financial support from the Tides Foundation.
He also sold out our MIAs so Vietnam could get MFN status.
I despise him.
Thank you Laz, sooner or later we have to stop giving these quislings, like McLAme, the benefit of the doubt.
So, McCain is saying Obama has continued the same interventionist path that became so unpopular in the 2nd term of Bush, and that the Republicans (at least some) have changed course and focused on peace through strength. I’d say, that’s fine...we should use this in our attempt to win over new voters who are sick of the interventionist foreign policy. Tie McCain’s warmongering to Obama, and lay out a better approach.
Not surprising since he ALWAYS agrees with barky on domestic policy
It’s more likely that Democrats will vote Palin than me going to the dark side. And If I ever do. Kill me on sight.
No, Arizona is an embarrassment for continually electing and re-electing this incompetent boob.
We knew he was seduced by BO back in ‘08 - he’s only realizing it now?
That’s more like it!
Thanks but I prefer to be ended lest my powers be used for evil. ;)
Ahh! Good thinking!
People have to understand something about AZ.
I came here in 95 from upstate NY and did NOT bring east coast liberalism with me. It was still very much a rural state with old west values.
Today it is totally overrun with illegals and Californians that fled cali taxation...but BROUGHT their leftism with them. The very same thing goes for Nevada.
The conservatives still inhabit both places in number. But the ratio changed with the illegal influx and Californication.
Thus McCain.
*I* say, "John McCain, f*** you for your horrible, incompetent service in the Air Force where you repeatedly wrecked aircraft, then got your sorry ass handed to you by the Vietnamese and got shot down, then collaborated with the enemy to get special privileges when a Prisoner of War. You are a piece of shit and a disgrace to the uniform, and you were turned into a dedicated American-Hating Communist by your Vietnamese captors." >>
Well said, Laz!!! Finally someone has the guts to face the truth about McCain.
Judging by McCain supporting Illegal Alien/Islamic Terrorist Amnesty....I’d say he supports Obama on a lot of domestic issues also
...such nice things like “John McCain, thank you for your service in the Air Force...”
McCain is merely Obama with a birth certificate.
