While the left lectures Americans about the historic breakthrough made by NBA free agent Jason Collins in announcing his sexuality and calls for well-deserved tolerance, they are on full-out attack against ESPN commentator Chris Broussard for expressing his Christian views. And now ESPN has been forced to apologize.
###
In response to all this leftist tolerance, ESPN dutifully released a statement apologizing for Broussards comments: We regret that a respectful discussion of personal viewpoints became a distraction from todays news. ESPN is fully committed to diversity and welcomes Jason Collins announcement. Naturally, Buzzfeeds Kate Arthur ripped ESPN anyway for not sufficiently falling into line: So no apology from Broussard
. ESPN got itself into this ridiculous, impossible situation here by relying on one of its employee's religious beliefs to inform a discussion about the huge Collins news
. What I would like to know, therefore, is why they put Broussard on the air to discuss his personal feelings about Collins, homosexuality, and Christianity, rather than his area of professional expertise basketball in the first place. Arthur went on a rampage, calling Broussard punitive, unforgiving, and lamenting that Collins beautiful announcement had been tarnished by ESPNs outdated, homophobic pit of its own making.

Or a mark.
A sex pervert is a sex pervert...no amount of speech suppression will change the truth.
Love the sinner. Hate the sin sex. Where are the Christian religious leaders?
The man is mentally ill...if people REALLY cared; they would encourage him to seek help. His supporters and cheerleaders are in Romans 1:32 territory...
I;m to the point where there are some people who even God might very well hate.....after all.. when he raised up Israel it was with the idea to out the people whose “stench” had reached Him....
There are some people who have gone too far and will never be open to changing their ways...nor desire to.
ESPN wasn't "forced" to do anything. They did it willingly, to preserve the full-court press, if you will, against traditional Christian values.
I do not see where the commentator criticized Collin's announcement. He stated his thoughts on homosexuality. He did not discuss Collin's sexual preferences or deride the for "being gay." He only commented on his beliefs concerning same sex and bi-sexual fornication (outside of marriage).
Comments glorifying Collin's announcement as beautiful are what is akward. Would an announcement about someone having a sexual foot fetish also be beautiful? Why is this even news?
Somebody get me in front of a camera, quick. I want to announce that I am bald and fat. Then maybe I can sell autographs. And bald, fat men around the world will feel better about themselves.
“Saw something yesterday to the effect that the Jets deliberately kept Tebow on the roster until after the NFL draft .... in order to keep the odds as low as possible that he will get picked up somewhere.
The writer’s opinion was that the Jets were trying to wipe out his career.”
Tebow’s revenge is that the Jets are still the Jets.
In Ubama's Democrat America of 2013, men who "proudly" announce that they like to have sex with other men are celebrated, while normal people who express their own opinions are chastised. Congratulations to the Democrats - - mission accomplished. America is dead and gone.
LOL - Is this the bleeding the guy experiences following relations with his male counterpart?
Homophobia maybe? ;o)
That seems like a real stretch. Tebow is a great athlete but was never cut out to be an NFL quarterback. The Jets wasted a ton of money by signing him to a big contract last year in the first place, so Tebow ought to be thankful that he can walk away from that sorry team with a pile of cash in his pocket.
Watching some sudden personnel moves the Houston Texans have made after having good seasons the last two years, I've begun to form a tentative opinion that managements run sensitivity tests (financial ones) on fan expectations versus ticket prices versus season results ..... and then manage their rosters accordingly.
If Team X suddenly discovers a future star in their ranks and goes 11-5 instead of the expected (and fully discounted) 9-7 or 8-8 (these being profitable records in terms of season-ticket and seat-license sales), then they'll make some unexpected moves, and some key linebackers and cornerbacks may suddenly go away, and a good tight end might not get re-signed.
YMMV.
If the GOP RiNOs keep defending their own homosexual princes, instead of coming out fighting.
Just to be clear - The left are homophiles.
And they are homophiles because they hate God.
#II:2, Psalms 2
“Homophobia maybe? ;o)”
“-phobia” suggests abnormal intolerance or aversion for something while “-philia” suggests abnormal appetite for or liking of
Maybe Jason Collins can play quarterback for the Jets, and be wildly loved and applauded.
Their policy regarding hiring them is 'Don't Ask, Don't Tell.' And if you tell, you're gonna be fired.
