While the left lectures Americans about the historic breakthrough made by NBA free agent Jason Collins in announcing his sexuality and calls for well-deserved tolerance, they are on full-out attack against ESPN commentator Chris Broussard for expressing his Christian views. And now ESPN has been forced to apologize.
###
In response to all this leftist tolerance, ESPN dutifully released a statement apologizing for Broussards comments: We regret that a respectful discussion of personal viewpoints became a distraction from todays news. ESPN is fully committed to diversity and welcomes Jason Collins announcement. Naturally, Buzzfeeds Kate Arthur ripped ESPN anyway for not sufficiently falling into line: So no apology from Broussard
. ESPN got itself into this ridiculous, impossible situation here by relying on one of its employee's religious beliefs to inform a discussion about the huge Collins news
. What I would like to know, therefore, is why they put Broussard on the air to discuss his personal feelings about Collins, homosexuality, and Christianity, rather than his area of professional expertise basketball in the first place. Arthur went on a rampage, calling Broussard punitive, unforgiving, and lamenting that Collins beautiful announcement had been tarnished by ESPNs outdated, homophobic pit of its own making.

This may go some way to explain what’s happening to Tim Tebow.
And speaking of professional basketball expertise. Why is Collins on the cover of SI?
Left-wing harpy beeotch and RatRoots Flying Monkey. Comments?
Collins is playing the mediots and the homo enthusiasts. A real show of “courage” would have been to come out at the peak of his career. Now it simply looks like what it is: A pathetic, cynical ploy to try to stay in the league (you can bet Stern will pressure...or “incent”...some crap team to take him on) or get an “analyst” job. And you can’t spell “analyst” without “anal”!
Fortunately for Broussard he’s black, or he’d be long gone. ESPN will ease him out the door though. It’s unacceptable to be openly Christian.
I was glad to hear a dissenting view, but I’d be much happier if they’d all just shut up about it. I just don’t want to know about someone’s sexuality.
Why does the article link reference breitbart but following it takes one to a blog? Hmm ......
Broussards comments are far more brave to me than Collins’.
Beck was right...I don’t recognize this country anymore. G-d will be pulling the plug soon...
Tim Tebow gets mocked because he’s Christian and pro life..meanwhile, if you enjoy your pecker up your butt your praised and declared to be “brave” you know what’s brave, giving your life for this country..or fighting a terminal disease..having deviant sex isn’t brave, its disgusting
The whole point of the homophilia on the left is that it is anathema to God.
They’re shaking their little fists in His face.
Psalm 2:1 Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing? 4 He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.
There's nothing beautiful about what he does.
The writer's opinion was that the Jets were trying to wipe out his career.

Blog pimpin’ ain’t easy, Yo!
Yep.
Wouldn’t be surprised if that were true..if your a proud Christian your mocked and destroyed in this country..its sad times for America, either we stand up and defend it or watch it go down in flames
If you think this was a ‘beautiful announcement’; you might be a communist.
“Why is Collins on the cover of SI?”
You didn’t hear? He’s gay. Gay marriage is a hot political topic and the liberals think they have the high ground.
I think the media was hoping for a white Southerner to be the first critic. They weren’t ready for that kick back but I’m sure everyone is being schooled with the right answer now.
