In comments made on April 25, Sens. John McCain (R-AZ) and Chuck Schumer (D-NY) both said they were saddened gun control didn't pass on April 17 but assured reporters the measures would be brought up for another vote some time this year.
"I think we will bring the bill back before the end of the year... lots of Senators who thought it was safe to vote against it [on April 17] because of the intensity [pro-gun groups] are not so sure anymore," Schumer said.
Schumer said the intensity for gun control has increased since the failed vote for gun control legislation, and he thinks Americans are now "intense" in their desire for more gun control.
McCain concurred, saying, "I... agree with Chuck that I think the issue will come back." McCain supported the Manchin/Toomey gun control "compromise" the first time around; he said the toughest part of pushing it is that "Second Amendment defenders" are very active....

They’ll pass it at midnight with one extra vote (whoever isn’t up for election that year). They have no regard for what the people actually want and haven’t had for decades.
New York and Arizona voters need to step up and recall vote these SOB’s out of office. Is that possible ?
Till then I’m sending contributions to NRA and Texas State Rifle Association . Also will babysit my own polidiots as a best I can and use snail mail, hand written and email to all I can with my views on the subject.

These bills will be recycled and re introduced over and over again until opposition is eventually worn down or spent out... then they will pass it in the middle of some dark night when no one is looking and shazzam; “Turn in your guns, America”!
Does a significant portion of American gun owners have the testicular fortitude to actually take a stand and resist enFORCE ment with defensive counter force, which is about all we’ll have left after they hammer such unconstitutional legislation through the halls of legislatures and congress?
Despite all of the “Cold dead hands” bravado, when the hob nailed jack boots come knocking, I seriously doubt it.
In the states where the peasantry has already been effectively disarmed, how many dissidents put up a fight for their 2A “rights”?
As people found out in Nazi Germany, England and other tyrannical regimes; in most cases to resist was to die - or spend the rest of your miserable life in a cage.
Not many civilian Americans have the stomach for civil war, IMHO - while the Regimes’ private political “Security force” Sturmabterlung of gang bangers, foreign mercenaries and Islamic Hadji professional killers are delighted by the prospect and can hardly wait to get it on.
Go ahead and vote all you want; Republicrat... Democan... the flight plan won’t change much even if elections aren’t rigged... which I’m pretty sure they are and have been for some time now.
Good luck with a 3rd party; we tried that already. That door was locked up tight years ago.
Remaining options, the way I see it:
Surrender your arms and stand by for dispossession, persecution, slavery and probable genocide.
Resist and expect the horrors of war and slaughter, somewhat like what we see in Syria - only probably much worse. The Syrian “rebels” have plenty of outside support, but Who is going to back the American Patriot this time - France... again?

Ryan’s phoniness showed up in the “debate” with Biden. He was ineffective, really let Biden win, but I didn’t catch it right away. His mentor Jack French Kemp did the same with Al Gore.
He just dumb puppy smiled and looked at camera as if thinking ‘Please like me when this is over and we lose because I am a nice guy and I want to run in four years’.
He was pushed a the new conservative hero by talk radio in 2011. Then Romney picked him up to use that myth in his favor knowing that Ryan follows party borders and would his.
Now I bet he plans on running.
AZ has its own third party, McPain, the albatross for all seasons.
