Well the Shabaz Napier is coming back, with the rest of the UConn men. Get one more season, this time the post season ban will be lifted. Go UConn!
Different god.
Like Philly and Pitt!
howdy !
ROTFLOL!!
Do the Pirates still have the Pirate / Bucanneer mascot at Pirates games? The last couple of times we traveled to PNC Park (in 2010, and a few years before that), all we saw was the green Parrot mascot.
I edit these shows down in an audio application and the third hour is a wasteland - I have taken to deleting it completely. Entire segments devoted to sponsors etc.
People judge you by your e-mail address? Eh? Maybe in the days of AOL but a provider is a provider these days. Reagan.com is prestigious? How, beyond the name? Who would fall for this snake oil?
When the papers start rustling and his voice tone changes ‘You know folks.....’ it’s time to click him off. Paul Harvey could manage it but nobody else can.
Never been to Philly.
Cleveland and Pittsboigh, that was my stomping grounds.
suck an egg
I can’t stand college football, it’s really boring to me unless a Cam Newton or someone like that comes along. Unfortunately it’s the cash cow. The hoop teams are OK in that they’re in good hands with Geno (man, 8 rings) and it looks like Ollie’s a good coach too, it doesn’t matter where you play.
NC is good, been here 15 years. Being in Charlotte, SC is a few miles away and seems a little more laid back. Like any place, the cities (including Charlotte increasingly) are rat-Infested with the 47% types. I think you can’t go wrong in GA either. It’s a different world, not necessarily a slower pace, but everything is so new here. I go back to CT, and nothing has changed. And they sky really is Carolina blue.
There is a Bucaneer Band that travels the stands playing rally songs...they are in “arrrrrrrr” type pirate garb. In retrospect (and for my deposition) I do find them threatening, menacing, scary, creepy...
The Pirate Parrot is the true team mascot. He has multiple shirts/caps/wigs (my current favorite is his homage to Andrew McCutcheon—a McClucken jersey, and his ball cap sports dreads). The PP travels the stands with his assistant (aka, the Wingman) rubbing heads, sitting on laps, posing for photos:)
PaDad was on the Jumbotron a few years ago w/the PP as the Parrot was placing some of his green fuzz on PaDad’s bald spot...
ROTFL!
What’s the matter? You don’t like knee JERK generalizations?
Wishing I was in a “y’’all” part of the world. My “red” county is being infiltrated by “blue.”
hell no....breeze the earlier posts....I had a good think
bless your heart
My old, home county is hopelessly BLUE.
Obama and Biden were constantly there prior to the 2012 election.
The Tx county I am in is traditionally democrat, but old Tx Blue Dog dems are comparable to Right wing extremists in the NE.
Old school dems are NOT down with the socialists in DC.
LOL, how funny! My husband's Red Sox hat was "eaten" by the Oriole Bird (he has no name) at Camden Yards in Baltimore a few years ago at a Red Sox-Orioles game. The Bird put the hat into his beak - it disappeared for a few seconds. It was funny, but it didn't end up on the jumbotron.
So, it sounds like there is no more actual "pirate" mascot for the Pirates?
Ugh! Those guys have to be embarrassed in those bumblebee uniforms.
