Feel free to illustrate fully the gold-plated prestige that will come with a Reagan.com e-mail address. Will choirs visit the house singing one’s praises? Trophies arriving randomly in the mail? Cars washed by elves at night? What, beyond, spam and malware filters available from nearly any provider or third-party software, does such a service offer?
What can be more of a generalization - not to mention a false one - that ‘people judge you by your e-mail address?’ It is an absolutely ludicrous claim compounded by its broad, overreaching nature.
Pointing out that certain products or services may not be all they are cracked up to be is not trolling; it’s realism. It’s why people turn to Amazon, Yelp, Urbanspoon and other sources. It’s actually a very interesting dynamic: they drown in a sea of pitches and turn to their fellow consumers for real-life experiences.
The onus is the advertiser or the endorser to substantiate the claims made. Is an ‘advertising guy’ postulating something different?
If you want to have a go at me knock yourselves out. But don’t stamp your widdle foot when someone has a legitimate criticism.
