The Pittsburgh Pirate “Bucanneer” is sneering at me from a game schedule on our bulletin board. “He’s” threatening me. Oh my...Gloria Allred save me!

ROTFLOL!!

Do the Pirates still have the Pirate / Bucanneer mascot at Pirates games? The last couple of times we traveled to PNC Park (in 2010, and a few years before that), all we saw was the green Parrot mascot.

There is a Bucaneer Band that travels the stands playing rally songs...they are in “arrrrrrrr” type pirate garb. In retrospect (and for my deposition) I do find them threatening, menacing, scary, creepy...

The Pirate Parrot is the true team mascot. He has multiple shirts/caps/wigs (my current favorite is his homage to Andrew McCutcheon—a McClucken jersey, and his ball cap sports dreads). The PP travels the stands with his assistant (aka, the Wingman) rubbing heads, sitting on laps, posing for photos:)

PaDad was on the Jumbotron a few years ago w/the PP as the Parrot was placing some of his green fuzz on PaDad’s bald spot...
