By the time she was 21 she had married him and borne his child, Zahara, now three. She had converted to Islam, hidden her tumble of chestnut hair beneath the hijab and undergone a change so profound that today few friends profess to truly understand it.

My sister and I were having dinner on Friday and talking about the Boston bombings and my sister said “You know, Mohammed is a Muslim”. Mohamed is her new Son in Law. And I said that’s obvious. She asked me how I knew, was it the pork he wouldn’t eat? I said “His name’s Mohammed!” “Oh”, she said. That’s how naive folks are, truly.
But this girl, Katherin probably did not have any religious upbringing as my niece did not. Katherine was probably very impressed by the religiousness of the bomber guy. What a naive mistake.
My 45 year old half sister married a Moroccan muslim man six or seven years ago. I don't even know how she managed to meet him. For the first few years they were married, he couldn't even get a visa to come to the states. After Obomber was elected, surprise surprise -- he finally gets a visa.
Like the woman in this story, my baby half sister is a total moonbat lib, so it wasn't surprising to me that she would hook up with a muslim after 9/11. Such women are easy prey for muslim men.

I think the guy wants a green card or citizenship actually but my niece seems very happy at the moment. She weighs a LOT, has 2 children by different fathers who are just baby daddys, used to be a lesbian when she worked at the rape crisis center but now works 2 jobs and makes a bunch of money as an RN. I guess there are a lot of Gambian nurses around here. She happened to meet Mohammed’s best frien at work and voila!

I read the online versions of the Daily Mail and the Sun from London, and various other European and Canadian newspapers. Our news reporting is crap.

I have met so many who have no idea about what is happening in the country or their kids, every kid I;ve met or is turning liberal or is liberal is because of lack of parenting.
Those lazy parents let the kids, the media raise their kids and their excuse was theyr;e too tired because of work or they think they are involved because they might take them to a class or something or out to dinner.

First not sure why a guy form Gambia would appeal when there are so many other guys about in this country or Europe where education is much better.

Sorry and no dis-respect but how anyone could have let their child marry a guy from Gambia with no green card and then even a muslim guy on tip of all that is beyond me.
I have a 12 year old daughter, she has just had a birthday and she already know about all of this and how the left will tell her about islam, infact I have even sat all my kids down youngest is 10 and told them who mohammed was, who he married, how old she was, what age he had sex with her, aged 9 and how some will tell her not the facts but the religion of peace due to PC.

I think in a general way it is easier to do critical articles of another nation than one’s own. There is that otherness factor at play. No one likes to read a headline that we suck. It is much easier to read that those people over there suck.
Something very venal has happened to our news media. In some cases, they have become outright cheering squads for communism and statism. They really do not care what any Democrat does wrong; they do not care if we slip into a fascist police state; they will not report if a wrongdoer is Islamic or black or Democrat. They will loudly trumpet if a wrongdoer is Republican or conservative or gun-friendly. They have abandoned even the slightest pretense of objectivity. They have become completely Soviet-ized, acting like the Pravda of the USSR.
But, unlike Pravda, they do so willingly, happily, even merrily.
