Ammunition sellers and manufacturers say theres been a run on bullets and they cant keep their shelves stocked.
Jeff Dillard who runs National Armory in Pompano says its the worst hes ever seen.
I have never seen ammo so impossible to get, said Dillard.
He said demand for ammunition has been growing and spiked over the past couple of days.
Because of the terrorist attacks and the gun control legislation people are getting in more of a panic situation, Dillard said.
When he can get bullets, Dillard says, theyre expensive.
We paid five times the price we would normally pay, he said, adding that it isnt just ammunition running low, he cant even get the parts to make bullets. All our vendors are telling us not only are they out of stock but some are two to three million bullet-heads in back-order. They wont even take our orders because they dont know when theyll be able to fill them.
Ammunition manufacturer Andy Delatorre says can hardly keep up with ammunition orders, but the shortage on parts has hurt his business so much he had to lay off four people last month.
We have had to shut down 50 percent of manufacturing process. People are out on street without jobs right now. We just cant find enough raw material, he said.
Ammunition manufacturers and sellers say they see no end in sight to the demand for bullets. A lot of the distributors and suppliers are telling us it could be 2-3 months before we can get an ample supply of ammo and all thats going to do is to drive up the prices, said Dillard.
No such thing as bullet heads. Sounds almost pornograpic.
Bullets are just the projectile. Rounds or cartridges or Ammunition describes the complete item.
Where have these folks been? Ammunition has been scarce and expensive since the election. Normal folks are scared. Scared of Washington and they are stocking up.
I know I have curtailed my range time to conserve ammunition even though I reload because components are as scarce as manufactured cartridges.
Are bullet heads anything like moose heads? ;-)
You’re being discussed here.
Lot of ignorance especially among Dhimmicrats.
Rep. Diana DeGette (D-CO) on Magazines
: “I will tell you these are ammunition, theyre bullets, so the people who have those now theyre going to shoot them, so if you ban them in the future, the number of these high capacity magazines is going to decrease dramatically over time because the bullets will have been shot and there wont be any more available.” (April 2, 2013, Denver Post forum)
AGAIN?????
‘Whats a bullet-head?’
A pro 2nd Amendment rock band?
Obama’s timing sucks.

In the midst of an ammo bubble, we learned with certainty that we dwell in a police state. A state where freedom is stolen in a matter of hours and replaced by batallions of police.
I read somewhere here in FR that gold and silver is in line to be REGISTERED.
sounds like FDR Bullcrap to me
Similar to a pin head idiot MSM reporter.
No kidding. My son just found quite a few 550-round boxes of .22 at Wal Mart earlier this week. He was surprised.
Street slang used by ignorant folks when describing a cartridge component projectile. "Bullets" are those little thingies launched by a firearm that hurl downrange until they impact a target or eventually run into the ground.
Bullets are to cartridges as flour is to bread as cement is to concrete, etc. When will they ever learn?
Unfortunately, many posters on this forum also don't know any better. It is a certain indication that the writer doesn't know much about the subject.
What gave them a clue?
I do know that folks are having a helluva time finding powder and primers.
Probably just a fluke, but I'll wasn't going to look a gift horse in the mouth.
“”””How did the Militia of 1775 deal with ammunition supplies - They made them. Today there is the same process. Whats next ban gunpowder, lead and so on and so forth.”””
There is a shop near my house that deals specifically in reloading supplies. They have everything for the serious reloader.
I was in there a few weeks ago. No dies for .223, 9mm or any other the other popular sizes. A big sign above the counter says WE DO NOT HAVE PRIMERS SO DO NOT ASK.
Without primers you have nothing.
There are ample stocked shelves of 7mm magnum rounds.
A little bit more than a buck a round at $25 a box. And there are other not so popular calibers as well amply stocked on the shelves, actually better ammo in most regards than .22lr, .223 and even .308.
They can just get a 7mm mag bolt action and hit the range.
But nooooo, its the latest cult frenzy to whine and complain about being able to buy ammo. They had the writing on the wall years ago when Obama was elected.
And honestly I will say this and be dammed by many for being blunt.
Most ammo whiners are liberals. They just recently decided they need it, they may even be more described as being libertarian.
Many many Johnny come lately’s.
