Ammunition sellers and manufacturers say theres been a run on bullets and they cant keep their shelves stocked.
Jeff Dillard who runs National Armory in Pompano says its the worst hes ever seen.
I have never seen ammo so impossible to get, said Dillard.
He said demand for ammunition has been growing and spiked over the past couple of days.
Because of the terrorist attacks and the gun control legislation people are getting in more of a panic situation, Dillard said.
When he can get bullets, Dillard says, theyre expensive.
We paid five times the price we would normally pay, he said, adding that it isnt just ammunition running low, he cant even get the parts to make bullets. All our vendors are telling us not only are they out of stock but some are two to three million bullet-heads in back-order. They wont even take our orders because they dont know when theyll be able to fill them.
Ammunition manufacturer Andy Delatorre says can hardly keep up with ammunition orders, but the shortage on parts has hurt his business so much he had to lay off four people last month.
We have had to shut down 50 percent of manufacturing process. People are out on street without jobs right now. We just cant find enough raw material, he said.
Ammunition manufacturers and sellers say they see no end in sight to the demand for bullets. A lot of the distributors and suppliers are telling us it could be 2-3 months before we can get an ample supply of ammo and all thats going to do is to drive up the prices, said Dillard.
After the events of this week, the old MSM has gotten a big, black eye. The new media is looking better by the day.
“We have had to shut down 50 percent of manufacturing process. People are out on street without jobs right now. We just cant find enough raw material, he said. “
Smart...I can’t say anyone here should be surprised. They are choking off supply further up the chain, where it is less visible.
People are getting more fed up with government attempts to illegally steal our rights.
Some are going to refuse to give up a right we have had since 1776.
Here in Maryland we have odious taxes, and now a new odious gun law, and an odious Governor with plans to run for President.
We have many Democrat politicians who say they will not be running next year because the Government here has swung too far left. Yet it is they who swung it left.
The assholes don't realize they're promoting self defense and not gun crazed lunatics.
What’s a “bullet-head”?
Wow. Not much gets by these rocket surgeons does it?
Gee, someone finally decide to go out and buy a box of .22 to plink in the back yard and find out what the rest of us have known since December?
Bullet head’s the part of the bullet that gets shot down the barrel (from “msm guide to bullets, clips and scary parts)
It is hard to get bullets. I tried to buy a high-capacity clip of 12 gauge bullet heads for my AK47, and the guy behind the counter just laughed at me. I guess he thought everyone already knew about the shortage.
Yeah, but I expect between the latest set of gun control proposals in places like New Jersey, and especially the attacks in Boston, the run on ammo found another gear to upshift into. The spectacle of over half a million people being told by their gummint to “shelter in place” and cower in their houses while their entire city is literally ground to a halt has a way of focusing folks into thinking “oh yeah, I better get another box of ammo just in case.”

Bullet heads can only kill you if they are shot from a scary black gun using a hundred bullet clip.
This has been going on for months at this level. Why is it breaking news?
You noticed that too, eh? What’s even worse is that this appears within quotation marks, which means one of two things. Either someone who runs a gun-related business would actually say such an idiotic thing, or the moron from the TV station is completely unaware or uncaring of what quoting is. I’ll bet I know which.
Some of the very worst writing out there is done by TV station people. They can’t write and don’t care, and neither do their bosses, nor their audience.
How did the Militia of 1775 deal with ammunition supplies - They made them. Today there is the same process. What’s next ban gunpowder, lead and so on and so forth.

Old news since Colorado and newtown. And a revisitation of the 2009 drought when the ONE first got immaculated. Back then I loaded up on primers, powder, lead and factory bullets(the projectile not rounds). I could always use more.
Oh yeah!
The media has for once done more PR for gun rights than anything the NRA could have done.People across the country saw this played out...and they shared what it “might’ be like like in THEIR city and for them.
Thanks so much MSM...Good job!
