The writer point's out what I've suspected for years, that Obama has always been far more popular with Democrat voters, than democrat politicians. As his gun control loss shows, his sway even within his own party is virtually nonexistent (remember, he just barely got Obamacare with huge democrat majorities in both houses).

The reason he’s not as popular with the ‘rat/commie politicians is that he’s going too fast, turning up the heat on the frog too fast, waking the sleeping giant of patriotic opposition.

90% support from who?
I doubt he has that much support from his immediate family and staff.
On the other hand, he crammed health care into law despite 80% AGAINST, so what’s that mean?

Can someone please cite this 90% number? Did this report check their Excel formulas like Reinhart and Rogoff did not?

I hope Cuomo is seeing the writing on the wall.
He is up for re-election next year.
Maybe Paladino will run again AND ignore the idiots in the GOP who ruined his campaign after he kicked their asses in the primary.

This story is written like we wish it was.
Obama still has the power. Harry Reid his suck butt is still running the Senate. This bill or one like it will be back and Obama will still be writing Executive orders.
Watch closely and we might see Nancy Pelosi back as Speaker.
Then what will we have to say about a Lame Duck Obama.
We won a small victory on that we are losing in many Democrat States such as mine in Maryland, where we have an iodiot by the name of O’Mally who is bleeding us dry and going after our guns.

Bullcrap
this quote from yesterdays Rush show
There's a Gallup poll out. “Only 4% of Americans Think Gun Control is an Important Problem.” Only 4%! After all the Newtown stuff on Air Force One. After all the so-called lobbying. After all of the caring. After all of the attention. After all of the focus. Only 4% of the American people think gun control is an important problem, but the people in Washington do not care. We've got Dingy Harry out talking about the anti-gun bill, letting the cat out of the bag. And that has always been the point, folks.
These polls saying that 90% of Americans believe in universal background checks, not true. They ignore the fact that nearly 100% of Americans do not think this is an issue. Only 4% of Americans think gun control’s an important problem. Can I talk to you about disconnect? If you turn on the media, if you listen to it, read it, watch it, all you'll think is going on is gun control and immigration. Alternate hours, alternate days, gun control here, immigration there. The next hour, immigration, then gun control.

I think the major issue this time is simply that the people aren't having any part of more gun control. There is a big plurality of people out there who own guns and use them sensibly. Despite an all-out propaganda effort by the media, a fresh tragedy at Newtown, and a lot of browbeating by the Schoolmarm President, the country mostly knows better.
We're not having it. That message has been clearly communicated to our elected officials in most of the country, and they pursue a gun-control agenda at peril of their political careers.
I think that's the real lesson here, and a message that has been suppressed by the media. Gun control failed at the grassroots level, period. How 'bout that power to the people?

Barack Obama can't pass gun control despite 90 per cent support
90% support?
The writer must be thinking that, the amount of support for Obama with blacks, directly translates to the general population for all issues.
Either that or the author used an inverse of the real support which gun control gets, that being that, only about 10% support gun control, and 90% oppose it. ;)

To them, their claimed 90% is like the claims of the Global Warming Scam that “the science is settled”.
Show me the proof, and the questions put forth, and their complete analysis. They can’t. They won’t. Hockey Stick crap through and through.
