(CNSNews.com) If you sell a gun to your son, theres something wrong with your family," says New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg. In a radio appearance on Friday, Bloomberg, a gun control activist and co-chair of Mayors Against Illegal Guns, praised the legislation that is now moving forward in the Senate. The bill would require universal background checks for most sales of firearms, including those online and at gun shows.

IIRC, the bill currently in the Senate would not require a background check on a sale or gift to a family member.
So what is Bloomin’ Idiot talking about?

In a way...maybe. At the time I did it I could afford it, so gave my kids nine millimeter automatics for graduation presents.

Bloomberg actually has two daughters, I believe, who are quite successful in their own right. All politics aside, it is refreshing to see the children of billionaires work on their own instead of just becoming trust fund babies.

This is exactly why the created zero-tolerance; so they wouldn't have to distinguish between bad people doing bad things with a gun, and decent people merely owning guns for their own protection.
Zero-tolerance requires the IQ of a two-year old, which is what makes it so attractive to the mentally deficient.

I should just give my pristine, original Remington-Rand 1911A1 to my son? He can buy it or wait and take it from my cold, dead hands. That’s what inheritance is for.

Actually, I did give it to the older son who became a Marine. Sadly, I inherited it back.

"Wow! There is something really wrong with Bloomie..." Yes, I believe that he needs a deep colonic enema, one that would penetrate all the way to his brain.

You should just give the kid the gun...
Dont you love your son ???
Dont you want he and his family to be safe and be able to defend themselves ???
To: Biggirl
Selling him a gun means he must not have enough, right?
That is the problem being solved.

Well I sorta have to agree. In our family we don't sell guns to our kids. They receive them as presents. I got my first at 7 years old. However all my guns were lost in a _________________________________. Since then I have become a pacifist and refrain from having anything to do with the "gun culture".

There really are two Americas. I’d like Bloomberg and his ilk to stay out of my America.
