Dear Friends,
I believe every senator should be required to go on the record about their views on the Second Amendment.
And yesterday, I voted for a procedural motion to require senators to go on the record about where they stand on gun control. I believe the American people deserve to know where the Senate stands on this issue.
I want to debate and I want to vote. Im not afraid to show my support for the Second Amendment.
Here's why:
· Many senators have refused to take a position on some of these gun control issues for fear of angering one side or the other. Theres only one way to see where Senators actually stand on the Second Amendment make them vote.
· We still have the ability to filibuster and subject any gun control legislation to the 60 vote threshold in the United States Senate.
· Filibustering, before the debate even begins, means many senators get a free pass. Some politicians dream scenario is one where they dont actually have to vote FOR or AGAINST a gun control proposal but can tell each side they were with them all along. Again, lets make senators vote.
· Nothing the Democrats are proposing in their gun control bill would have prevented the Sandy Hook massacre. We need senators on record. Do you support these gun control measures?
· Finally, I have my own legislation, supported by the National Rifle Association (NRA), which I want to bring forward in the Senate. My legislation would make a real difference in keeping guns out of the wrong hands.
Its designed to prevent individuals like Alice Boland, a mentally disturbed individual who once pled Not Guilty By Reason of Insanity in federal court for threatening to kill the President of the United States from legally buying a firearm. Under current law, she was able to pass a background check, buy a pistol, and go to Ashley Hall School in Charleston where she tried to shoot several school officials. One bullet in her hands is one too many.
Again, as a strong supporter of the Second Amendment I welcome a debate on gun control. The American people deserve to see where their elected representatives stand on the Second Amendment.
Lets vote.
Sincerely,
Lindsey O. Graham United States Senator

You are already gone with me because the immigration reach-around you had with McCain a few days ago.
Fine, debate it. I can't stop you. And you have your circle-jerk the answer better be "NO," you understand? NO, NO, NO!
I’m curious, have the rest of the rinos done the same? Why not humiliate the rats with a filibuster, stop the rest of the crap that’s coming to debate this issue. You could drag this for a couple of days. I swear, not a strategic bone in any of these rino idiots.
I wonder just how much ‘debate’ they will actually have. Any senator that dives in to the debate will be going on record with whatever they say, to be used by their political opponents in the next election, from either party, including their own. The ‘debate’ may not last very long...........
He made the loss a done deal along with McCain and the other 16.
One doesn’t hear the term “double speak” or “double talk” much more but Graham’s response is an excellent example.
The hardcore opposition towed the line and this wimp dog voted against them. Graham voted for bringing something that is clearly unconstitutional to the floor.
I'm waiting for one good women or man to run against the Linster, and my checkbook is on fire to donate to them especially if Sarah says they are a go.
I will do the happy dance the night he gives his congratulatory speech to his erstwhile primary opponent who beat him....
I can’t help but suspect that Lindsey’s passion for upholding the Second Amendment ranks behind his desire to fight as many wars as possible and to loosen control of immigration.
Here is the simple truth, Linda.
You don’t get to vote on the 2nd Amendment. It’s not up for discussion or debate any more than freedom of speech or the right to a fair trial. These are God-given rights. I have a right to defend myself, and legislation that would allow the government to swiftly violate my rights is unconstitutional. This isn’t a new issue. It’s an issue that has existed since this nation’s founding. We have ALWAYS had the right to bear arms. The Democrats have a clear agenda to eventually repeal the 2nd Amendment through incrementalism. They’ve used this method for welfare, the homosexual agenda, immigration, the list goes on. The fact that you don’t recognize this as the diabolical reality should tell everyone how woefully unqualified you are to be a senator.
If it helps, he did say during the Feinstein hearings that he personally owns an AR-15.
I bet Grahmnesty’s background check doesnt check for legal status.
Don’t worry - it still has to pass the House and we can count on Boehner to stop it.

:: I want to debate and I want to vote. Im not afraid to show my support for the Second Amendment. ::
Well, Ms. Lindsey, to show your support you should REFUSE TO DEBATE the question of a right given by God Himself.
The People know how to answer this question.
Every Senator who voted to break the Filibuster yesterday did exactly that: They went on the record about where they stand on gun control. Graham did, and so did both of my RINO Senators, McQueeg and Flake.
In case anybody missed it, they are PRO-gun control, every one of them, protestations to the contrary.
It’s true that few people are wrong one hundred percent of the time. Hopefully Graham can contribute to the maintenance of our Bill of Rights.
South Carolina state rep Lee Bright looks like a possible “go” against Graham...
How far out of committee would the dims have allowed an anti-Abortion bill? It would never make it out of committee because they fight hard for everything that they believe in... unlike you and mccain... who delight in stabbing those that put you where you are... right in the back.

Fortunately, we don't have to rely on your (sarcastic) faith in Boehner. Even if Congress passes a bill that infringes on the right to keep and bear arms, we can count on Chief Justice Roberts to defend the Constitution. /s
