Ex-RNC Chair Michael Steele: I Don’t Understand The Fear Of Gun Registration
tpm ^ | 4/9/2013 | DAVID TAINTOR

Former Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele on Tuesday said he doesn't understand why gun owners fear the registration of their firearms.

"I don't get the fear of registration," Steele said on MSNBC. "I don't get the, the concern about trafficking. Are we saying that we want criminals to, you know, make … back-alley sales out of the trunks of their cars?"

Steele was part of a panel on MSNBC's "The Daily Rundown," during which former Sen. Blanche Lincoln (D-AR) said that responsible gun owners insure their guns, which means they're registered. "I mean, I don't understand," she said.

MSNBC host Chuck Todd agreed with Steele. "It feels like we're protecting the rights of the paranoid about government, rather than, sort of, the reasonable," he said.

As TPM has reported, the National Rifle Association has long warned that expanding background checks would lead to a national gun registry.

To put it in terms that are crystal clear to him, would he “get fear”, if the registration was of just black people?

Seriously, every argument about background checks could be made about “unregistered black people”. There is absolutely nothing to fear if the federal government decided to make a special database of all the black people, and just the black people, in the US, is there Mr. Steele?

This would be done because of all the crime in Chicago. If all the black people were registered with the government, there would be far less crime, right?

Nobody wants mentally ill black people walking around on the street, right, Mr. Steele?

Because you know, Mr. Steele, that the vast majority of black people in the US ae honest, good citizens, and it would not impinge on their civil rights to be registered with the purpose of stopping those black people who do engage in crime?

Seriously, how many more children have to die before you agree to do background checks on black people?

Ah, Michael Steele.

Still searching Craigslist looking any occupation that will make him relevant.

So he answers the casting call as “Token Idiot”?

What a perverse, idiotic POS Michael Steele is!!! Does he really believe that criminals will meekly submit to universal background checks or registration rather then buying their guns illegally as in "back-alley sales out of the trunks of their cars?"

What a stupid POS he is!

As I recall, Mr. Steele didn’t “understand” much of anything.

"I don't get the fear of registration," Steele said on MSNBC.

Gun registration will not prevent crime. Canada had a gun registration system, and when it proved to be expensive and ineffectual, it dumped that system. Also the guns that the killer used in Newtown Connecticut were registered to his mother.

The fear is that there are people in power who want guns removed from the hands of private citizens in general. And the only way to do that is with a national gun registration system.

"I don't get the, the concern about trafficking. Are we saying that we want criminals to, you know, make … back-alley sales out of the trunks of their cars?"

Just like anything else throughout history that was declared contraband, gun bans will only create another criminal enterprise -- blackmarket guns. And that will ensure that car trunks in back alleys is exactly where and how criminals will get them.

Steele was RNC Chairperson because he’s black. When it turned out that having him in that position didn’t help win elections, he was asked to resign. But, he still gets paid to be a black republican.

Didn’t think anyone would catch that.

He was a self serving, slobbering, puny intellect sadled with envy.

He sucked louder than Liberace, though Reince is looking for an Oscar as well...

Hey Mike, let's just say that there is a federal gubmint in power that hates black people, ya' know, sorta the polar opposite of the one we have now.

And let's say they check their registration records for all black people that own firearms.

Then they cross reference those records with your medical records to see if you've ever been treated for anxiety, depression, stress, insomnia, ADHD, an eating disorder, ptsd or a host of other issues

Let's say they check the medical records of everyone in your household for said issues, including your aged auntie with the beginnings of Alzheimer's

And let's just say, Mikie, that the PRESEdiNT of these United States of America is funneling weapons to criminal and terrorist organizations in this country that have murdered US citizens and law enforcement officials.

And let's just say that this PRESEdiNT demonizes you on all of the msm networks everyday saying things like people like Mikie aren't like us, they're racist, theyr're taking our stuff, they're keeping us down, they're killing our children.

And let's just say, Mike, they found an issue and they came with armed officers, maybe in the middle of the night, and confiscated all of your firearms.

Would you have a problem then Mike?

Ex-RNC Chair Michael Steele: I Don’t Understand The Fear Of Gun Registration

Ex-Nothing Pubius911: I don't understand the fear of wearing little yellow fabric stars on your person at all times.
This monumental idiot has no clue whatsover about the difference between a constitutional abomination, and its physical representation.

Michael Steele is akin to someone who lives on Park Avenue in New York City saying they are in total mental sync with convenient store clerks throughout America.

My point: That would be difficult to both believe and accept. His statement on gun registration is also the same.

Mr. Steele there is a reason the 20th century is known as the century of the open mass grave . Registration leads to CONFISCATION that is turn leads to death squads EXTERMINATING THE POLITICAL UNDESIRABLES!!!! This the history of the 20th century from the genocide of the Turkish Armenian Christians in 1915 to the orgy of blood lust that was Rwanda in 1998 you stupid bastard.

This is entirely consistent with his past comments on the 2nd Amendment as chair of the RNC.

In his feeble mind, it is for hunting only.

We are NOT screwed! ...

I understand your points, and in the beginning of our nation, the people were of a different mindset than the generations today. Our young nation was not made up of a near-majority of Godless, uneducated entitlement pigs, as it is today. The messages in our nation were not saturated by Hell's media and enemies deeply embedded within our own government and institutions, as they are today.

Although there is certainly nothing new under the sun, we are watching the sun set on our once-free nation, because our nation has (collectively) turned its back on God. My saying "we are so screwed," in no way means we're giving up fighting, because we're not, but I can clearly see the writing on the wall.
