Joe, who is deployed to Honduras serving his country, was recently able to meet Beth and their 6 year old daughter in Pennsylvania for a family visit. He also wanted to show her the Philadelphia neighborhood where he grew up. It was to be a happy family reunion between a soldier and his girl. What could be more American than that?
But now, she has an arrest record and is facing a felony charge that could imprison her for up to 15 years.
How could this happen in a supposedly free country?
It is simple really. Beth took her husbands firearm with her when she flew to meet him. He has a North Dakota carry permit which is also recognized in Pennsylvania and he wanted to have it for personal protection while they were visiting.
However, her fatal decision was made when she booked her return flight from New Yorks La Guardia Airport.
For those who havent figured it out yet, for all intents and purposes, you leave America when you enter New York.

The government masters in New York tell everyone how to live and what rights they have. I am sure that the District Attorney's Office will protect the citizens from criminals. Oh wait! They can only prosecute criminals after crimes have already been committed. Too bad for victims of murderers and rapists and other violent crimes!
Boycott New York.
All of it, all the time.
How arrogant must you be, you useless effing little organ, to assume that you can declare your little third world shithole a rights-free zone and any principled (or even any conscious) person would still be willing to enter it? Putz.
I isn’t just those who are from out of state. It applies to NYS residents who have concealed carry permits but not a NYC permit. It is in bold type on permit application.
I’m not defending it, just saying the way it is.
I’m thinking they must be trying, really trying, to push people over the edge.
If someone snaps and fights back, they believe it will validate their narrative.
If people could know in advance when the gestapo comes for a citizen’s guns, a show of force could be made with dozens or hundreds of armed men.
They would not want to risk a confrontation like that.
Smile!!
They want a confrontation. They want blood and violence. They will exploit it like all get-out and ride it like a rented mule.
Correct. Says it right on the back of my permit. Not Valid in the 5 boroughs of NYC.

Then...let’s go over the edge. Look’s like it’s coming anyways.
Death to the communist north.
We are no longer free to travel from state to state. Papers please!
Where are the interstate commerce commies who justify everything the federal nazis do with that clause?
What if the flight had not originally been scheduled to go through NY but got diverted due to weather or some other reason? Would the commies have a right to confiscate your guns then?
Maybe the Queens DA (sounds appropriate for a Queen) needs his address published so we can protest.

A cancer that is spreading rapidly now.
I figured that I would explain that it is no the application in big bold type, not lost in the fine print.
It is also on your permit as you say.
I have never gotten a satisfactory answer on this question: is your NYC permit valid outside the 5 boroughs ? I am going to assume that it is, so a person with a NYC permit has a super permit that allows him to carry his weapon from Long Island to Buffalo, yet I have to stop at the Tappan Zee Bridge, and cannot get it on to Long Island since I must go through at least two or more of the 5 boroughs.
This has happened repeatedly for people who are making connections or have been diverted. If the flight gets diverted, and your gun is retrieved from checked baggage and "bang" you are arrested at the baggage carousel when you claim your property. If your connecting flight gets cancelled and you retrieve your property they are waiting for you because your weapon is listed on the flight manifest.
Which is why the 2nd Amendment is a unalienable right. You can’t lose it by crossing state lines.
I qualify for carrying a gun interstate under the Law Enforcement Safety Act (HR-218)but I’m hesitant to do so because of all the different local gun laws city to city and county to county. Should I get arrested I may win in the end but who wants to get locked up and pay thousands of dollars in legal fees just to be right.
Wrong. You qualify for carrying a gun interstate under the United States Constitution, just like everyone else. The fact that the opressive regime has decreed that your safety, as a government employee, is more important than everyone elses is telling, but trivial.
