BRECKENRIDGE (CBS 11 NEWS) A firearms company that makes AR-15 style rifles for the iconic brand Colt, will open a plant in Breckenridge in Stephens County. Oregon company Bold Ideas confirmed the development Friday.
Bold Ideas goes by the name Colt Competition, making high accuracy rifles for competition shooting.
The company has not officially announced the opening, but employment applications are already available at the Breckenridge Chamber of Commerce. A non-specific, help wanted ad appeared in the local newspaper classifieds earlier in the week.

That'll be too late. The Texas borders will be closed by then. Best hurry while you can still get in.
It already has. Texas has been the number one destination of choice for CEOs looking to relocate their businesses for some years now.
They will never close their borders to people who are willing to help
Believe it or not, many of us born and bred Californians are conservative through and through. I moved to Texas seven years ago, and have yet to drop a single crumb of liberal pollution on this fine state.
You've got a point there. I'd certainly vouch for you, if you showed up late.
Welcome to Texas Bold Ideas/Colt Competition Firearms!
Welcome to Texas!
About 100 miles W of DFW.
They’d just nationalize it.
“I’m not originally from California, so I won’t contaminate Texas.”
A lot of us who are “native born” Californians have had to watch while Northeastern Gaigin ( Japanese translation Barbarian Bastards) have infiltrated our state from New England. So I guess you need to be careful whom you call “contaminators.” A lot of folks have short memories when discounting California today. After all, we gave the country Ronald Reagan and more recently, Jim and John Robinson. So watch what you say! Still lots of good, decent conservatives in California.
Here's hoping the rest of the corporation follows.
said this before but how on earth can anyone still live in these socialist states is beyond me.
My misses is from MA but I got her out of there and down here and she said it was the best move she has done and then other day another freeper said they’re getting out of the north east too and moving to GA.
Imagine millions of conservatives moving out of those socialist states and taking their votes and tax money out of the socialist places, thus the red states gain more votes, more tax money and more electoral count
Look at an election map of California. Aside from the San Francisco Bay, Los Angeles and San Diego areas, California is almost entirely a red state. Those are the areas where the newcomers congregate. (Heck, when I moved down to Los Angeles in the 60's, I didn't meet one single native older than elementary school age.)
Now take a look at a recent Texas election map to see the same pattern emerging. Big city areas (Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, Austin) all went for Obama. Those same people (and now their sons and daughters) came to California, trashed it, and are moving on. So stay vigilant, pay close attention to your local and district elections, and please stop trashing those of us who have chosen to stay in our native state to fight as best we can.

It has demanded us to deliver up our arms, which are essential to our defence, the rightful property of freemen, and formidable only to tyrannical governments.
THE RIGHTFUL PROPERTY OF FREEMEN! Even Texas understood it!
Not surprised. They are in Canby, Oregon and with the liberal fascists here in Oregon going down the road of more gun laws, I am glad they are moving to my home state of Texas. We are leaving Oregon next year for Idaho, so the fascists will get only one more year oy my tax dollars. I hope more gun companies leave Oregon.
The 'Gaigin' of whom you speak, changed the state of my birth so much, that I barely recognized the place by 2005. Despite the fact that I still knew lots of decent conservatives there, we were hopelessly outnumbered by that time.
Had it just been my wife and I, we might have stayed, but we have four kids. I looked towards what sort of California they'd inherit when they were grown, and felt that I couldn't make that choice for them.
i’d say stop selling to all govt that is actively against citizens’ 2a rights.
you got that right.
