Last year, Sarah Palin made Marc Lamont Hills list of 15 Most Overrated White People. And then he ran into her at an airport.
Palin was very nice to me and kind to my daughter. Although we disagree on everything politically, I still appreciate that.
After she walked away, I thought about all the things I've said about Palin over the past four years. Wondered if I would've been that nice.

In one breath he states
"Palin was very nice to me and kind to my daughter. Although we disagree on everything politically, I still appreciate that."Then on another he states" After she walked away, I thought about all the things I've said about Palin over the past four years. Wondered if I would've been that nice."
THEN......"Fortunately, almost all my critiques of her (and other public figures) have been about ideas rather than insults.Except maybe Chris Christie"
Now, if all his "critiques" have been strictly about ideas, NOT personal, why did he say "Wondered if I would've been that nice."

Your first false assumption, Marc, is that Sarah Palin has paid any attention to your race-baiting, Marxism-pimping, stereotyping nonsense.
Your second false assumption is that everyone is as petty as you are.

Pure capitalism at its best.
Find a need and fill it.
Apparently there was a need for a raving communist. It’s become his schtick.

I know. I was joking. In that picture, with the mustache, there kind of is a resemblance. I am grateful, very much so, for all that Jim has done to bring this group of people together in thoughtful discussion. It’s very, very important.

He can be a very mean person. His words can beat a person with cruelty. Her kindness towards him shows her depth of character and explains why so many of us do admire her. He goes on and on about the cops/they cannot do much of anything right in his eyes because of his race mostly. He appears on The Factor as well.

I love this picture, too. One of my favorites.

That is a great image. I think the signature is J. Lawrence Lind but almost nothing turns up on google. I wouldn’t mind having that on a poster.
To: Albion Wilde
That’s my view.
Even if it simply makes him a nicer person.
And who knows? In years to come it may open the door to a reconsideration of some of his politics.

Someday historians are going to look back at this time and shake their heads over the way people treated this decent lady and her family. I don’t think they’ll have many good things to say about the people who were trying to pass themselves off as Americans during this time in US history.

Marc L. Hill said this of Sarah about his list of overrated White People >>> Sarah Palin - Although her political career is likely over, Palin continues to be a powerbroker among Right wing extremists. Despite her lack of knowledge of policy or strategy, Palin is still a go-to pundit on conservative media outlets. No one destroys the myth of white supremacy more effectively than Sarah Palin.
To: Zuben Elgenubi
You’re good, kid, but as long as I’m around you’re second best. You might as well learn to live with it.
To: Christie at the beach
Apparently he was shocked she wasn’t angry about that. I’m sure she isn’t. Much, much worse has been said about Sarah Palin by people more important than MarcLamontHill.

After she walked away, I thought about all the things I've said about Palin over the past four years. Wondered if I would've been that nice. I'll remove the wonder for you, you wouldn't because you lack class and dignity. So wonder no more.

Who is Marc Lamont Hill ?I think he has a PhD and a professorship, and happens to be black. The times I have heard him on Fox, he seems to have a huge chip on his shoulders about his race, and sees everything through race tinted glasses. I got the impression he thinks that when he speaks about everything racially, he appears smart.
Someone like Dr. Ben Carson, a man with intellect, class, and real accomplishments, makes this guy look rather pale.

Marc, if you're asking the question, you know the answer. There was a time when a liberal could disagree with conservatism without being hateful, but it is getting harder to find liberals who are like that. Even some liberals I know very well spew their hate when I'm not around. They don't seem to have the guts to do it in front of me though, which makes them hypocrites as well.

I think we have all used these kinds of mental distortions or defense mechanisms to guard ourselves against being overwhelmed by painful or threatening experiences. The feelings of possible guilt and anxiety for someone already afflicted with an inferiority complex are obviously a reality he is going to have to come to terms with gradually.
