President Barack Obama next week will take the political risk of formally proposing cuts to Social Security and Medicare in his annual budget in an effort to demonstrate his willingness to compromise with Republicans and revive prospects for a long-term deficit-reduction deal, administration officials say.
In a significant shift in fiscal strategy, Obama on Wednesday will send a budget plan to Capitol Hill that departs from the usual presidential wish list that Republicans typically declare dead on arrival. Instead it will embody the final compromise offer that he made to Speaker John Boehner late last year, before Boehner abandoned negotiations in opposition to the president's demand for higher taxes from wealthy individuals and some corporations.

The clown has ALREADY broken the law by not turning jn the budget on time.
He doesn’t, Medicare has already been cut, they’re already paying higher co-pays and it won’t pay enough for cancer treatment and the death panel haven’t even started.
This is another trap set for republicans. More taxes and only cutting entitlements for seniors is a losing proposition for 2014.
Notice how the dems never propose cutting food stamps and welfare programs for their plantation dwellers.
And how. I just saw my bill from the ER. Medicare only paid 10% of the ‘usual’ charge. That won’t continue very long.
Cut SS and Medicare, and raise taxes. Most of the retirees will be forced to sell their homes in order to survive and pay the medical costs. Surplus of vacant homes will drive the market down (again - if you really believe it’s coming back up). Obama hates old people and anyone not on welfare.

Makes me wonder why I bother?
Medicare isn’t what needs cutting. OBAMACARE is what needs cutting.
There is no way they can cut enough from Medicare to pay forn 100,000 people that Obamacare has to hire just to explain the 63 pages they need fill out to to ask for it.
Not to mention the IRS agents needed to steal the money from us to pay for it, and the thousands needed to sit on the death panels.
They want to save money do away with this crazed government takeover of medicine.
There’s no such thing as a free lunch. Let this be a lesson...save more for catastrophic care later in life.
Yep, not three weeks ago got an over 3,000 dollar charge from a hospital I have never gotten a charge from, and have had far more expensive procedures in the past. The only difference, Obama care and 2013. Can’t wait for 2014 when things really kick in. By that time no one but the indigent will be able to afford the emergency room.

Sure he and the pols have to cut SSI because it’s the only program the Feds administer that is still in the black even though they are attaching every welfare program they can to it.
Obama already stole medicare funds to pay for obamacare-—now he’s going to call this a “cut”. What a lying piece of crap.

SSI stands for “Social Security’s Supplemental Security Income”. It is a welfare program for very poor SS recipients.

It is not just affecting the old it is affecting the disabled (people who are really disabled). Lets make some real cuts Senators And House Representatives, pResident, vice pResident, Cabinet Members, White Hut Staff cut the number of staff, salaries (75%) and benefits.
