Report: Caroline Kennedy to Be Named Ambassador to Japan
Weekly Standard ^
Posted on 04/01/2013 5:28:56 AM PDT by Perdogg
Caroline Kennedy, the daughter of President John F. Kennedy, will be nominated to be the next ambassador to Japan, the Washington Post reports.
"Looks like there will be a Camelot East make that Far East: Caroline Kennedy is heading to Tokyo to be the U.S. ambassador. Kennedy, whose support for President Obama during his 2008 campaign was seen as crucial, had been widely talked about as a candidate for the plum diplomatic post, but now things have apparently been firmed up," reports the Post.

Perhaps the Japanese will follow the lead of the Canadians and the Vatican and tell Soetoro no thanks.

I can see why you think you’re being cute by expanding tomkat’s simple wit. I guess it’s true when you hear it said that small people stick together because they think that by adding a bunch of zeros they will get something more than zero.

The name “Kennedy” is worth a lot of money.
She has no qualifications. Giving money to the top guy is not a qualification.
To: Doogle
Had the same thought. She can barely speak intelligible English. Good luck with Japanese.
With what's happening between Japan and China, and Li'l Tub O'Lard's antics in NORK, it's an especially bad time to appoint an inbred gummy smile cotton brain to such a critical post. But there is a precedent. Caroline's pro-Nazi grandfather Joe attended the Court of St. James at a similar historic juncture. The results were not pretty.

We ain't seen nuthin' yet!
Obama still has another campaign debt to pay off. Just wait till he appoints Chelsea Clinton as the U. S. Ambassador to the Court of St. James.

The Japanese are actually OK with celebrity ambassadors because our relationship with them is so good that it doesn't matter so much. Walter Mondale did a credible job and came off as quite affable. I met him once at an official function when I worked there and was impressed with his congeniality.
These are good jobs for libtard "I want to teach the world to sing" types because they are occupied attending official parties, cutting ribbons and making small talk rather than doing potentially far more damaging policy positions.
The Japanese (especially my age) also have a certain nostalgia for the Kennedy family because their reign corresponds with the run up to the 1964 Olympics in Tokyo when the Japanese were officially welcomed back to the world of nations following the massive rebuilding and modernization after World War II.

I see liberals answering a direct question saying “LOOK” in a condescending manner while looking down their nose at the questioner and trying to figure out how to twist their answer.
