A California creationist is offering a $10,000 challenge to anyone who can prove in front of a judge that science contradicts the literal interpretation of the book of Genesis.
Dr Joseph Mastropaolo, who says he has set up the contest, the Literal Genesis Trial ...

You are being childish.
I meant that there was no ‘creation’ in existence prior to the six day creation of Genesis. If you look at the statement to which I had responded, it becomes clear that I was responding to the careless error of that statement.
That might very well have been what you meant. In fact I think that probably was your original point, and you simply misspoke in the passion of argument. It’s the doubling and tripling down on the mistake that’s the problem. You are arguing a Biblical perspective, but getting the Bible wrong. That is not helpful. God made Adam on day six. You know it, but feel the need to dig your heels in, preferring your own argument to the truth. THAT is childish. I don’t think there is anymore I can say on the point. Have a nice day.
Take your meds when the nice lady comes.
No insult, no witty or semi-witty remark, nothing you say will make Genesis 1:27 happen before Genesis 1:1. You seem to have some problems admitting when you are wrong. It’s not easy, but it’s a part of growing up. Work on it, and I’m sure you will get there.
Wake up! I’m not wrong.
You were just looking for something different so you could argue. Tough!
Having taken three years in the study of God's Word formally within an educational institution , and a lifetime of continuous time studying and applying it to my life, I am of the opinion that you have no idea of what you speak. You are obviously lacking the ability to discern from His Spirit, as well.
I will follow some good advice from that good Book, and "shake the dust from my feet" (Matthew 10:14)
Please do not waste my time again! I have better fish to fry!
You said that the universe did not exist before Adam. That is wrong. I can’t see what’s tripping you up on this.
Most likely the false assumption here isn’t creationism, but rather that God would work as slowly as processes presently work. All a person can do today is examine what already exists, and imagine how it could have come to such a condition without God and assuming it must have taken millions of years. If God wanted light to be visible from stars light years away, what could stop him from making the initial effect immediate?
It is enough to show, however, that the universe could not have come into existence without the hand of God in the first place. This is obvious especially when you look at the smallest of details, say the way ATP is put together in the cell, to realize that no random processes could have put together such a complex piece of machinery in one go. Once the assumption of a godless universe is destroyed, then there is nothing that stops the creation story of the Bible from being true.
Yeah, I saw that. Good point. Several Proverbs also come to mind.
“Cro Magnons had killed out the Neanderthal prior to the arrival of Adam and Eve.”
Recent studies of the Neanderthal and Human genomes show a great deal of mating and reproducing in antiquity. Members of the same species are defined as being able to reproduce with healthy offspring able to reproduce as well. Thus, Neanderthals are simply human beings.
The photo you provided is not an accurate picture of a Neanderthal as well. Put a Neanderthal in a suit, clean him up, and you wouldn’t think he was a monkey-man.
Every bit of that is wrong. Neanderthal DNA was halfway between ours and that of a chimpanzee, and there is zero real physical evidence of humans and hominids ever cross-breeding. Genes which we share with hominids could more easily be explained as an original designer simply using a few of the same low-level genetic parts on dissimilar projects. Similarly, bank software and rocket telemetry software could easily use a few of the same low-level C language math functions; that would not indicate that NASA’s software was hacked from that of JP Morgan.
The universe was created in the same creation sequence in which Earth and its life were created.
Earth is clearly indicated as the central point of the expansion of the universe. does that scare you?
It is said in over 100 places in the Bible that every creature reproduced according to its own kind.

That is your main problem; you have been indoctrinated by Mystery Babylon.
I am guided by the Holy Spirit moment by moment, which has protected me from the Babylonian corruptions that block YHVH’s message.
BTW, you have no understanding of the command to shake the dust from your feet.
That’s nice, but doesn’t really have anything to do with what I was talking about. I want to know how the “out of nothing nothing comes” argument for there being something greater than nature deals with the need for God to have come out of something greater. All introducing God accomplished, near as I can tell, is to push the question back a step.
You can say faith, but then you have to drop the argument. Reason doesn’t go just so far as you wish, no shorter and mo further. Were I to proclaim my faith in self-contained nature, you could reason me out of it with ex nihilo nihil fit. But it’d be poor sportsmanship to grant yourself what you denied me by suddenly denying rational argument when we get to God, and rather finding refuge in faith.
The Holy Ghost is an answer of the sort that God provided for nature. It merely pushes the question back one more step, then we’re left wondering out of what came Spirit.

Sorry, but every bit of that is wrong.

Friend, I cannot say whether you are demon-possessed or just plain out-of-line. You speak of yourself as being the only arbiter of my faith and life. Mystery Babylon is not found at Elim Bible Institute, nor am I indoctrinated by anything but God's Holy Spirit.
You have set yourself up for a mighty fall!
As for shaking the dust, it is the correct application to your ridicule and misapplication of Godly principles. In this context, your house is a little box full of text! You cannot understand what you can't see! You speak of the Holy Spirit as if He were yours exclusively. I have my sincere doubts about your overwhelming "religiosity"!
You probably like to sit in the front pew, like any good Pharisee, if you even attend a church...
Matthew 10: 12 As you enter the house, give it your greeting.13If the house is worthy, give it your blessing of peace. But if it is not worthy, take back your blessing of peace. 14 Whoever does not receive you, nor heed your words, as you go out of that house or that city, shake the dust off your feet. 15 Truly I say to you, it will be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment than for that city.
I do not need reason, I have faith. Reason prevents the acceptance of God and His kingdom.
I do not think the sky will fall, because it is held in place by the laws of physics. Yet, the sky is only an image of what can be seen. The air is full of particles, and gases, and due to that, we see sky. But, the sky continues forever... until it ends, or not!
I cannot tell you what to believe, nor can I deny your faith in your beliefs. I simply have come to believe in the Bible narrative, by what we call the Holy Spirit. I will pray that you come to know Jesus Christ, God incarnate, as having lived as a man, died as a man, but was resurrected and lives forever. He is God, come down as the only being capable of releasing us from the penalties of sin.
If you don't think you are a sinner, sorry for you! A baby begins to exert his authority ("selfishness") and it never stops!
