Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf have far better tasting coffee as well. I’m not aware of any rabid Lefties running it.

That is the point of all this. The world is no longer a $5.00 cup-of-coffee world. It is a get-the-best-deal world. The CEO’s profit model is based on the past and he can no longer sustain his company on his prices. He seems desperate and out of touch.

Don’t worry. Mr. Schultz, your coffee tastes like burnt bitter Obama!

Wow. Given their buy brand populace, there might be a good uptick. Buy now, buy large.

Schultz replied that, Not every decision is an economic decision. The lens we use to make decisions is the lens of our people. Yeah right, lets check back with Schultzy at end of Q2 2013 to see how the profits are from this "economic decision".

Precisely. This guy is making a major false calculation like the CEO of JCPenney.

I guess they don’t need my $3 bucks a day for ice tea. As I read my own post I am thinking $3 bucks a day? How stupid is that? DONE!
To: GilGil
Where I live, we have a nice, LOCAL alternative to Starbucks.
Cheaper, too.

Thanks for the posting
This story broke over the weekend on radio I think by Cunningham’s Sunday talkie sub who played an audio clip. Finally it made it to print/web and the FR website. It’s still not being covered by the talkies. One local am daily talkie, Sykes WTMJ, mentioned Starbucks but not what that CEO did.
