Doctor Raoul died Saturday of a rare form of cancer. He was 58.
Raoul's family contacted us this morning to see if they could find out more about his activities as an activist.
This is such a shock. His family is looking for photos and stories about him.
He is and always will be a Free Republic icon.
He kind of fell off the face of the earth about 2 or 3 years ago now. All attempts we made to reach him failed.
If you have photos please contact me. Please feel free to post stories and I will make sure the family sees this thread.
So good to hear from you, although on a sad occasion. Pls don’t be a stranger. Sending you ((((( hugs)))).
Long time no see! Hi to you both!
Really too bad that it has to be such a sad occasion to bring us all together. Doctor Raoul was unique, wasn’t he. We all knew what an exceptional FReeper he was, but looking at all the pictures and memorial tributes, he was one of a kind. His family must be amazed!
Take care, you gals!
Agreed! Don't think they knew he was an activist. He was most certainly an amazing person; an original. He did more to change hearts and minds than most know one single individual is capable of--with a bullhorn and the internet. And a few costumes!
God rest his soul.
Very sorry to hear this. Doctor Raoul was an excellent FReeper. I enjoyed his interesting and intellectual contributions to the discussions.
May he rest in peace.
Thank you for the wonderful collage.
Doctor Raoul was the funniest and happiest FReeper activist!
Let’s all remember him that way.
OMG....PRAYERS!!
So sorry to learn of this. Dr. Raoul gave much to Free Republic. He will be missed. RIP, good doctor. |
Dr. Raoul is still working his magic, and giving to FR! So nice to “see” you Nick Danger, although not in these circumstances.
I tried to ping you to my post #600 but kept spelling your name incorrectly.
Those were the days, my friend...Good to hear from you!
In February organized a Support the 2nd Amendment Rally ...now my kind of FREEP...LOL
Bravo. You did an excellent job! Thank you so much. It brought back many memories.
Dr. Raoul had such patriotic passion. It inspired all of us. This video shows how hard he worked to protest so much that was simply wrong.
This is a terrible loss for all Freepers, his family, and for the country.
Good to “see” you again.
You, Kristinn, Dr. Raoul and many others did such a great job in DC for many years. You were on the front lines. Thank you for your loyal patriotism! You all were an inspiration to the rest of us Freepers all over the country.
This is a very sad loss for all of us. Dr. Raoul will be missed.
That was wonderful.
Wonderful video—wonderful tribute.
Well done. Thank you.
Wow! It’s definitely been a long time since I’ve seen you here.
What a tragic loss. America was greater for his life. May a merciful God welcome his Soul in Paradise.
Sorry I haven’t more to add. Haven’t posted in years. Still love you guys and gals.
May he rest in peace. My condolences to his family.
