Sen. Rand Paul said Sunday that President Barack Obama and former President George W. Bush could have "conceivably been put in jail for their drug use, ruining their lives and impacting their getting elected to office.
"Look, the last two presidents could have conceivably been put in jail for their drug use and I really think - look what would've happened, it would've ruined their lives. They got lucky. But a lot of poor kids, particularly in the inner city, don't get lucky and they don't have good attorneys and they go to jail for some of these things and I think it's a big mistake, the Kentucky Republican said on Foxs Fox News Sunday.
"Actually, I think it would be the last three presidents, but who's counting?" host Chris Wallace said with a laugh, referring to former President Bill Clinton.
"There you go," Paul said.
"But he didn't inhale," Wallace quipped.
Paul said that he doesnt support people using marijuana but said he also doesnt necessarily support putting them in jail for extended periods of time.

They appear to follow much of the same policies. Big spending, deficits, ordering drugs raids on medical marijuana dispensaries, invading other countries...
He’s not trying to make them legal. That’s a decision for the states like CO and WA where they have already told the Feds to screw off with their marijuana laws.
Since hedid that filibuster and got fame and the media gave him attention he is saying what his father thinks.
Homosexual sham marriage could be forced on all states thus telling tens of millions of voters there vote was a waste of time as was the multi millions and hard work done on our side and we’re bringing up Bush , WHY?
Once DOMA is gone and the states are forced to acept this crap agenda and no pun intended then will churches be sued, is there an exception to religious people, will the first amendment now be ignored and the basice founding of this contry was rleigious fredom and yet that cold go, and already has under obama care.
Hey Rand talk about that part of the constitution and how once homosexuals can have their sham they then use that to push homosexuality teachings in the schools, because they say it;s law now, .
Do we get rid of mothers and fathers day, do we now have to have polygamy too?
All those dopes which said they dod not care had better wake the hell up because marriage was a step to a bigger agenda and a more dangerous agenda, hell the commies wrote back in 63 that if they could destroy the family then all society breaks down and kids go to the Govt
No before some one comes on and states they can;t see those exact words ut they had it written down for all to see how they wanted to infiltrate the media, infiltrate a party and infiltrate the church and promote homosexuality.
That is a communism position not a republican nor a conservative\\\

George Bush snorted cocaine as well. That is illegal.
Obama was doing coke. BIG difference.
Agreed. He reminds me of Chris Christie, in that on one occasion he did something conservative, and since then he’s showing his true colours.
You can kid yourself if you like, but don’t bother trying to kid me. He’s like his father.
So what?
Look where Bush “mainstream” conservatism got us. Big deficits, debt and expanding entitlements... how is Obama any different? he’s just doing what Bush did on a bigger scale.
Maybe you should listen to Ron and Rand. You know, they believe in actually cutting the Federal government in about half.
You’ve just called the US Constitution nuttiness.
The way things have been going, the imagination might be the only place to find one of those.
For selling seeds. And there are a lot more cases like this;
Marc Emery wont be the only person in a US prison for selling seed over the internet. In Fort Wayne, Indiana a judge has sentenced a man to six years in a federal prison for selling marijuana seeds over the Internet. 30-year-old Jesse Groth sent seeds around the world from his northeastern Indiana home.
I know what they believe in. They believe in getting a government job and never leaving it, while draining as much money from the taxpayers as they can.
They were both successful Medical Doctors who gave up a practice to enter politics. Rand has said he will go back to his job any time but he’s going to stick around until 2016 :)
Police: Sen. Paul’s son assaulted flight attendant
49 USC § 46504 - Interference with flight crew members and attendantsAn individual on an aircraft in the special aircraft jurisdiction of the United States who, by assaulting or intimidating a flight crew member or flight attendant of the aircraft, interferes with the performance of the duties of the member or attendant or lessens the ability of the member or attendant to perform those duties, or attempts or conspires to do such an act, shall be fined under title 18, imprisoned for not more than 20 years, or both. However, if a dangerous weapon is used in assaulting or intimidating the member or attendant, the individual shall be imprisoned for any term of years or for life.
So, had the drug laws been enforced, we might have missed out on the presidencies of Clinton, Bush II, and Obama.
This is supposed to make us be AGAINST enforcement of tough drug laws? Am I missing something?
do you like picking on teen kids of politicians?
IIRC, it would also mean we would have missed out on having Clarence Thomas on the Supreme Court, if that counts for anything.
Equating President Bush with Obama was a very poor decision on Rand's part.
He’s 19. F-*k you.
NineTEEN, yes you’re correct.
