A day can't go by when the same sex marriage question is not portrayed as a mainstream issue. With the Supreme Court set to rule on the question, one must ask; who is pushing this agenda and what is at stake?

According to five studies compiled by Gary Gates of the Williams Institute on Sexual Orientation Law and Public Policy at UCLA, the United States has approximately four million homosexual adults representing about 1.7 percent of the population. Other studies show the U.S. Census Bureau finding that homosexual couples constitute less than 1% of American households while The Family Research Report says homosexuals make up about 2.5% of the population, and the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force estimates approximately 6% of the population is homosexual.

Even if we take into account underreporting and bias, the high end average of homosexuals in the U.S. would be approximately 3% of the population. It is also reasonable to assume...

For some in the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender community, the same-sex marriage argument is a cover for advancing a demand for universal legal acceptance of their particular lifestyle; using the court of public opinion to sway the courts of justice. In short, a tiny fraction of the population are attempting to have a personal, social, gender, or sexual framework legitimized by the entire population in civil law at the expense of self-acceptance, natural law, and institutional stability.

At the end of the day, or any century, attempting to redefine something as basic to biology as gravity is to physics is dangerous and destructive. It's time to annul the same-sex marriage debate.

God has a cure for homosexuals.

The universal truth is that you never make law for the exception, but the rule. Marriage is only the union of a man and a woman. To redefine that for the benefit of the exception rather than the rule is to undercut the natural order. Already, the law is being used around the world to suppress opinion that refuses to submit to this perverse way of life. There is no court of opinion, as any opinion that strays from the desired goal is made illegal.

Why is everybody wasting time and energy on same sex marriage which affects only 1% of population. There are much more draconian issue facing the country such as impending bankruptcy like Cyprus, Greece and SPain.

Marriage has never been a state issue. If it’s legal in one state, it’s legal everywhere. If a heterosexual is married in one state, that person can’t get married in another state without commiting bigamy. There is no reason a deadly perversion such as men having sex with men should gain acceptance and approval. The New Left pushed the normalization of men having sex with men as a means to destroy society and they are working on it.

They have been successful in getting bath house Barry elected and destroying America. This at the same time they are doing a hypocritical war on obesity. Obesity is not good, but it nowhere as evil as men having sex with men. And the obese don't necessarily reproduce by molestation/pederasty as the men who have sex with men do.

Your question is a good one, but the thing to figure out is, "Are we having troubles because we have rebelled against God, or the economy sucks because we spend money.

All through the Bible, the Jews are shown rebelling against God and they fall into slavery and other difficulties. Then their leaders repent and God blesses the land once more.

We were founded on God and Biblical principles and have been blessed beyond belief for nearly 300 years. Now we have forgotten God and we make stupid decisions about our money, foreign policy, and other subjects. To redefine marriage to our thinking is slapping God in the face. Does anyone, even a non-believer, believe abortion is not really killing a child? The further we drift from God, the more stupid we get. If you want a balanced budget, you must love your children enough to stop stealing from them. If you don't even mind murdering your children, what does anyone care if they run up the credit card? Homosexuality is covered in 3/4 of the books of the Bible and I don't see God changing His mind about it. If you tug on Superman's cape, don't be surprised when He slaps you down. Homosexuality is just a symptom of the real problem. It's all connected to spending money, killing children, and non-belief.

We will be MADE to believe. How much damage must we suffer before we repent?

Many people even say God has blessed this country, then commence to blaspheme His name. God said, "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge." Obama claims to be Christian. Is there any fruit? He says the debt is no problem. What is his level of knowledge. What is the level of knowledge of the people that voted for him? All these problems are connected to one thing. All we have to do is figure out what causes the insanity of the people. IMO, we have left God. What other thing could explain the problems we are having today? Killing school children to increase the body count, taking guns from law abiding citizens and leaving them with the criminals, murdering innocent children and protesting the death penalty for murderer's, spending money nobody believes we can pay back, sending money and weapons to our enemies, ....... God has taken notice and He will not be mocked..

We conservatives should hang our heads in shame and take a lesson from the homos. They're a "tireless but vocal minority" of only four million, yet they've forced over 300 million fellow Americans to accommodate their agenda in one way or another.
