A state judge on Monday stopped Mayor Michael Bloomberg's administration from banning the sale of large sugary drinks at New York City restaurants and other venues, a major defeat for a mayor who has made public-health initiatives a cornerstone of his tenure.

Good for the judge
Say, has he commented on the 80% of high school graduates who cannot read? .....
got that right, the left are like locusts who destroy a state wiht their ignorant voting ways, then they nmove on mass to states here in the south from the north and , CO, WA, OR from CA.
They grow up voting D or they just want big Govt when it favors them but as soon as druggies want their drugs then to hell wiht big Govt instead they want to ban guns which is a constitutional right and make drugs legal so they can get high.
Then add the homosexual agenda, the cross dressing, what ever perverted sex they have agenda and then tell us in the south and mountain states we should have to put up with it because they went judge shopping and found a turd poking judge.
Forget the wall on the Mexico border by we need one on the Potomac and the mountains of CA
Only to say that it guarantees his re-election in perpetuity.
ah homosexuals like their feces to much to stop them from pushing their sick twisted agenda, nah the judges and many elitist have their cocktail feces pushing pals to please
In a just world whatever civil servants worked on this soda ban would be fired because this was a total waste of time and resources when the citizens of the city face real problems not this made up crap.
*clinks glasses*
Bloomberg is irate and has reportedly threatened to take the offer to fill the recently created job opening in Venezuela!
-——In a just world.....
In the real, corrupt world created by the democrats, the 17 oz cup bearer would be slipped $50 bucks and bless the establishment as clean...... at least once a month
It was struck down because Bloomie’s board that he charged to write the law didn’t have the legislative power to do so.
Of course, any city council in the country could probably write such a law. It’s just a stupid and oppressive thing to do.
Oops there goes the 100,000 jobs for the soda inspectors with their 17 oz cups. Did NY purchace those cups yet?
Foolish politicions! You asked for em you got em NY. Bend Over!
Good to see one Judge with some common sense!
After all oversized Hookers were next on the ban list!
B-but New York city is full of liberals and liberals love despotism.
A properly constructed lawsuit can help with that.
damage is done. all these locations already adjusted their way of doing business, recipes, cups and menus. It would not be a good idea to switch back in case he wins on appeal.
I wonder what the environmental impact of tossing all that glass ware, pitchers and plastic cups in the land fill and buying new is?
Nah, it’s a fairly minor thing to bring back the larger size. Quick service stores drop and add stuff all the time. The bottlers will be happy to help out. Doesn’t even have to be on the “main” menu — can use a placard or just word of mouth availability.
Pennsylvania can be added to that list as well.
Just heard this 2 secs ago on the radio.
BIG Smile on my face LOL
BRAVO Judge Tingling!!!
FU Bloomberg you Commie........
