Great tunes tonight Maestro! "She's Not There" is the only Zombies song I can recall, although I understand they're still active.
Where are the survivors of the massacre at Benghazi? The silence of the Obama Regime on this question is deafening!
Fiat Justitia, Ruat Coelum!
Genuflectimus non ad principem sed ad Principem Pacis!
Listen, O isles, unto me; and hearken, ye people, from far; The LORD hath called me from the womb; from the bowels of my mother hath he made mention of my name. (Isaiah 49:1 KJV)

The Sixties were a magnificent era for songs and songwriters. It’s hard to beat that decade.

I’ll never forget Feb 6. 1964, when the Beatles first appeared on the Ed Sullivan show. The Christmas after that event, I got my first Guitar, and the rest is History!

Here’s Rod Stewart as lead singer for Faces, backed up by The Memphis Horns, covering the Temptations’ “I Wish It Would Rain,” a live recording from 1973:

It’s a surprisingly nice cover, different from the original as you’d expect. The comments section on YouTube is interesting reading, with a band member as well as several people who attended the concert commenting.

It had started out as Big Boy Pete by the Olympics in 1960. The Kingsmen, who had gotten a hit with Louie Louie two years earlier along with the attention of the FBI who thought the lyrics might be obscene wrote a different set of lyrics and got the unwelcome attention of the owners of the Jolly Green Giant brand who sued them for defamation. It came in at #4 on March 9, 1965.

Junior Walker was one of the great saxophone players of his era. His first hit featured him on vocals, and this was the beginning of a great career. Thats Benny Benjamin of the Funk Brothers on drums. On March 9, 1965, this came in at #29 on its way to the Top 10 a few weeks later.

T-shirt and shorts....can’t waste a good thaw. LOL!
Yesterday was sunny, too. Not today. I can’t believe that breakup is here yet...I don’t trust Mother Nature. This is the second time this winter I’ve cleared ice.
