Rubio up and Re-explaining why Paul is doing this filibuster. Quotes the Godfather, Paul made “ an offer they can’t refuse”, and yet they refused. Rubio says, Imagine if this was about Bush? It would be totally different, except Paul would still be filibustering.

I am truly encouraged by the lack of "my party v your party" this is America undivided....the Constitution is taking center stage, the law of the land - these young me are the first statesmen I have heard in ages.

IIRC Toomey was one of those at the WH dinner. Don’t automatically come down on ALL of them. It’s quite possible Toomey and Ayote, and perhaps others, went along to keep McCain and Grahamnesty from giving away the country there. As Reagan said, “Trust but verify.” And maybe some of them will show up on the overnight tag teams.
