three more?
Breaching the ‘no-fly zone’ - does this apply to drone surveillance?
When does this fascination with the sanctity of Bronco Bama pass from admiration and adulation to paranoia and crazed suspicion?
Inquiring minds want to know.
When he goes someplace he blocks of a 30 mile radius around him. In Palm beach that blocks off the whole coast where all light airplane traffic transits. Folks down there are not so used to Presidential no fly zones. There will be more. Ridiculous waste of airspace knee jerk reaction to 9/11.
And the First Vacation deserves a no fly zone because why? That it’s somehow not safe for the President? Maybe we should force every flight on the ground except for government employees; that seems to be the trend now, to protect government employees, only government employees are trusted to fly, have guns, vote...
Plus fewer and fewer pilots call up a briefer before launching - with GPS and on board weather and flying VFR... what's the point?
Ergo, those who do not otherwise pay attention to the world and going about their merry way, are getting the surprise of their life when an F-16 sidles up alongside... Oops!
And in the 90’s I would park my 172 right next to Air Force one when it landed at Burbank, Bush Sr and Clinton, taxi by it, hell even talk to the crew if they were there. Yes we were still allowed Free Speech back then. How times have changed.
Were these planes the same as the ones at Guam ?
Yeah, there’s been something about planes flying into buildings or some such so they tightened it down.
We’ve traded our own freedom for the president’s security. Bad bargain all around. I say the Monarchy has been restored.
Fl37, my home is just a little west of the place obozo was staying. Other than the sound of the f16’s it was a very quiet weekend.
Where as we would usually have 15 or 20 flights each weekend day we had one.
A twin leaving and I’m sure he filed an IRF and opened it prior to getting airbourne. Then left going out of runway 27 and stayed going that way.
Has a president ever had this much security as Hussein does?
Where’s the Drone when you need one.
I’ll bet the air crew had some great BJ Clinton stories, LOL.
How dare they intrude upon the putting silence of the Great and Powerful Oz...
Thought Key West would be more his style.
