Two days after his State of the Union pledge to guarantee high quality preschool for every 4-year-old in the U.S., President Barack Obama takes his pitch on the road on Thursday to an Atlanta suburb where he will deliver a speech on the issue at a local recreation center.
Obama cast his preschool plan as a way to bring low-income and minority children up to speed with higher-income children—a move he says would save taxpayer money and give those children greater opportunity to succeed over their lifetimes.
"Every dollar we invest in high-quality early childhood education can save more than seven dollars later on by boosting graduation rates, reducing teen pregnancy, even reducing violent crime," Obama said in his State of the Union remarks. "In states that make it a priority to educate our youngest children, like Georgia or Oklahoma, studies show students grow up more likely to read and do math at grade level, graduate high school, hold a job, form more stable families of their own."
The president is set to speak at 1:20 p.m. ET at the Decatur Community Recreation Center, after a tour of a local pre-kindergarten classroom.

Right... AS IT the ‘state’ is capable of doing ANYTHING right. Can you possibly imagine what these children will be like?
I feel sorry for any child who will be forced into a ‘system’ like this... and it IS a system.
It’s funny, you couldn’t pry these kids OUT of their ‘parents’ care if you wanted to institutionalize them and get them into a better environment for their own good, yet the fed wants to make it natural and normal for ‘parents’ to pop and drop their kids at the gov’t. doorstep (read: the taxpayers’ doorstep)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why not just call it a prison and keep the disadvantaged locked up from their second birthday to, oh, maybe 50 years old. They’re not felons so they can vote, they consume material and services provided by crony capitalist (friends of 0bama) and street crime fall, no possession of guns in the prison.
I have tried to convince my friends and family for many years that one of the Left’s chief goals to to have compulsory, government-run child care.
The things they must do to completely steal our freedoms and help us get our minds right: take over health care, confiscate guns, control the internet (alternative media), and force children into their education camps as soon as possible after birth.
The Soviets realized the dream decades ago. Why shouldn't it be realized here?
Which should serve as a warning to Obama and his ilk, even with the entire populace indoctrinated from birth, the vast majority of communist citizenry (in every Eastern European communist country, not just the Soviet Union) repudiated Communism the first chance they got...
Every time I read comments at the article site for stories such as these, I can’t help but think that massive voter fraud occurred last November. Tin foil hat time?
By God’s grace, “we” were able to get the HSLDA and Heritage Defense up and running before the left could get these policies in place and FORCE us to give them our kids.
More like “push two years of daycare costs onto the Gubbermint to please the Democrat Single Mom Vote”.
God is in control.
He has a plan for our good, not our harm.
It is the same as approving the irresponsible reproductive habits and careless parenting that goes on NOW... only it will be fully subsidized by the working Americans RIGHT FROM DAY ONE IN THE CHILD'S LIFE... It will all be supported by those evil ‘rich’ whose money but NOT whose values are acceptable.
AND in the end, when these children become pathological, social bust-outs...those evil ‘rich’ Americans will bear the full blame for the outcome. The progeny of losers who don't know or care about being parents will spawn more and worse than themselves with each successive generation and escape ALL responsibility in the process.
Now if they survive the Abortion they plan to educate them in Marxism. Its a grand vision.

Head Start is taxpayer funded babysitting. Welfare mothers drop off the kids, then do who know what all day.
There was a Head Start program in the building across the street from my house. I once chatted with a woman who worked there. She said some mothers would forget to pick up the little ones at the end of the day.
The plan is actually birth (4 weeks) through age 22. That's why they push college loans on the other end.
Tough to get your kids back after that. It's hard enough as it is.
Women are created to seek protection and provision.
Traditionally, that protection and provision were within the context of the family, either the family she grows up in or the family she marries into and creates.
The left, of course, seeks to destroy all traditional (Bible based) institutions, so they destroy the family, and women seek safety and provision from the State. They will vote for more government and for more provision through the State.
Of course, the married women see this imposition of the state as REMOVING safety and provision from their families, because resources are confiscated from their families to provide for other “families” through the State.
We are still hemorrhaging jobs, we are spending more than $1T a year more than we take in, and there is no end in sight for either problem. Obama’s top concern? Preschool. The really sad part is I find this a relief. Any time Obama wastes on regulating preschools is time that he is not doing even more damage to some other aspect of our country.
