Traditionally, that protection and provision were within the context of the family, either the family she grows up in or the family she marries into and creates.
The left, of course, seeks to destroy all traditional (Bible based) institutions, so they destroy the family, and women seek safety and provision from the State. They will vote for more government and for more provision through the State.
Of course, the married women see this imposition of the state as REMOVING safety and provision from their families, because resources are confiscated from their families to provide for other “families” through the State.
