In all of his infinite wisdom and glory, President Barack Obama has waived restrictions placed on the direct funding of the Palestinian Authority. If you remember, this is the group that is run by Hamas. Going further back in your memory, you will recall Hamas is the terrorist organization that has refused to acknowledge Israel’s right to exist. In fact, their charter calls for the destruction of Israel. -snip- If you will look at the date of the press release on the White House website, you will find it was Friday. The Obama administration is so open and transparent that they make sure these things are released at the end of the week and the news cycle.
The previous occupant of the White House didn’t like the idea of funding Hamas. So much so that he declared it would not happen until Hamas met certain requirements.

I’ve been struck speechless more in the last few months than I have in my entire life.
So at this point, this should be a clear indication to Israel that America has no intentions to defend her, and we’re even going so far as to rub it in their face that we’re supporting her enemies.
It will take the humblest, most God-fearing, highly moral Christian man to take the Presidency to mend these fences. This is a lifetime-partnership-changing development. Marital divorces have been founded on less egregious insults.

The only question is whether Obama is able to use the next four years to seriously cripple America or whether America will survive in spite of his betrayal.

It seems the House should be able to control where this money is spent through legislation and defunding. I realize that may be naive thinking given this regime that will do whatever the hell they want.

That's incorrect. The Palestinian Authority controls the West Bank, and is run by Fatah (which is itself engaged in a civil was against Hamas). Fatah and the PA have their own set of issues, and we probably shouldn't be providing funding to them either, but let's keep our facts straight.
