Evening, Kathy. Gotta go dig my way out of the snow.
Hi Everybody!
((((HUGS))))
In the aftermath of a devastating tornado, a man stood outside what was left of his home. Scattered somewhere among the rubble inside were his wifes jewelry and his own valuable collectibles. But the man had no intention of going inside the unstable house to search for them. Its not worth dying for, he said.
In times of crisis, our sense of what is truly important in life often comes into clearer focus.
In Psalm 90, A Prayer of Moses, this man of God looks at life from beginning to end. In light of the brevity of life (vv.4-6) and the realization of Gods righteous anger (vv.7-11), Moses makes a plea to God for understanding: Teach us to number our days and recognize how few they are; help us to spend them as we should (v.12 tlb).
Moses continues this psalm with an appeal to Gods love: Have compassion on Your servants. Oh, satisfy us early with Your mercy (vv.13-14). He concludes with a prayer for the future: Let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us, and establish the work of our hands for us (v.17).
Our numbered days and the brevity of life call us to embrace Gods eternal love and, like Moses, to focus on the most important things.

Thank God for heroes like Major Scott...and thank you, galz, for introducing him to us! (((hugs)))
Hi Gang!
We have survived the Nor’Easter!
I stayed with Dawn for two nights, so that I was able to get to work as she lives less than five miles from there.
The wind was gusting from 45 to 60 mph, and the windchill factor during the blizzard was about 2 below.
At times, there were complete white out conditions.
It was hard to leave Mr B here, but had I stayed home, I NEVER would have made it to work on either day this weekend.
Even in town, the drifting snow and the snowplows buried Moxie in 4 feet of snow.
All that was visible Sat morning was the roof and the front hood.
Dawn has a bad back so I shoveled the car out me self.
I had to turn my back to the wind gusts, because other wise, they robbed me of breath.
The snow fell at the rate of 1 to 3 inches per HOUR, and made travel almost impossible.
There are more pics and stories here:

We ended up with 22 inches here.
Much love and many thanks for all your care and concern!

What in the blue-blazes is up with fotki?
How can it jump from the "M's" to the "G's" when
I click the thumbnail after viewing a graphic?
I still have some unresolved issues from last week.
Which means I'll be disappearing as soon as the bossman arrives.
Thus, I'm going to get to my hellos
before that happens.
But please stay right where you are.
Chat up the military or a family member.
No need to fret...you know I'll be back!
The FR Canteen is
Come in and sit for a while.
There's always plenty of coffee, tea,
pancakes, conversation, silliness,
and plain old BS
