Good stuff, Buckaroo...I hate that I have no idea who Leo Kottke is. My bad!
(((hugs))) Have a blessed Sunday! :)
I did not know Leo covered that Peter Green classic!
Good night and rest well, Luv....thank you for the tunes for the troops. ((HUGS))
Thanks, unique, for the thanks.
Arrowhead.....#250!!
Publius.....#300!!
Drumbo.....#350!!
Music bumps for all the songs in the Canteen.
((HUGS)):-D Always a thrill to be here supporting our military. Fort Sill is located not very far from here. Have some family and friends in the military.
Oooo...That was NICE. (Song 10, looks 8!)
Then I clicked on the same song by Lauritz Melchior.
Oh My! His voice transcended the old-time recording techniques! :-)
Because of you, Valentine's Day came a little early this year.
Again, thank you and take care.
Melchior and Flagstad were the ultimate Wagnerians of the Met in the Thirties.
LOVE his High “C”!
Hi Ho, Hi Ho, Hi HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEY
:-)
Yes...I saw the Ben Heppner rendition of the Prize Song on youtube. His voice is very strong and beautiful!
Br-r-r-r-r-r-r! I’m glad I’m in coastal Georgia. Ms. B must be snowed in and without power. No wonder we haven’t seen her this weekend.
My Mom (86) lives in Quincy MA (just a mile south of Boston) and her house has been without power since the storm. My Sister and B-I-L live upstairs and they tried to get into a motel, but all of them are booked solid with refugees. So they bundled Mom off to Braintree to a friend’s home and are staying there until the power is restored. Meanwhile, Mom has been sick and recently hospitalized, and the medicine that was given to her has caused dementia and severe agitation. I put up a good front here on FR, but I am very, very worried about what to do next. The situation up there is really grim. It is a miracle that we are hearing from ANY of our Massachusetts FRiends.
That was SWEET!
Not nearly long enough though!
OK - here’s Bailey - jumping in the snow - 2 1/2 minutes (although I COULD take 5 minutes of this one!)
