Former congressman and libertarian icon Ron Paul tweeted a startling reaction to the death of SEAL sniper Chris Kyle on Monday:
'Chris Kyle's death seems to confirm that "he who lives by the sword dies by the sword." Treating PTSD at a firing range doesn't make sense'

ROFL. One must use their imagination for that one!
ROFL. One must use their imagination for that one!
“he who lives by the sword dies by the sword.”
If true, then I predict his cause of death will be stupidity.
In one single utterance this stupid little prick has insulted everyman and woman who has fought, bled and died for America since April 1775 to Afganistan today. He has insulted a brave and fearsome America soldier who made it possible for this waste of human tissue to live as he does and who has sent many a worthless Saracen bastard off to “Alpha Whiskey Romeo’’(Allahs Waiting Room’’) I’m going to get this pricks number in DC and let his staff know what FReeper “jmacusa thinks of his worthless hide.
Hey Ron-go back to doing what you love-slandering Israel.
The Little Martian is hoping someone, anyone will remember he really didn’t fall off the planet, just onto it.
I have certainly supported some of the ideas Ron Paul has championed in the past, and some aspects of the libertarian point of view. While I'm not "insane", there is nothing to defend in Ron Paul's comment. Its just insensitive, stupid, and completely wrong, and reflects very badly on Mr. Paul. He should be ashamed of himself, and if he had any honor or common sense he'd promptly apologize and retract his idiotic comment.
I can't imagine anybody but some troll would try to defend such an indefensible and stupid comment.
Hard sell even here. ABO was the cry but we couldnt even beat the worst president in my life, and I remember them all since FDR.
Ron, he who lives by the lie, dies by the lie.
At this point, the kindest thing I, or anyone, can say about Ron Paul is that I hope his family make sure he keeps his neurologist appointments and takes his Aricept.
There is no perfect candidate right?
What follows is not views i support but what I have determined through reading Libertarian websites and looking at many blog entries:
Yes that is exactly what the meaning is and it is a very common sentiment within the libertarian fraternity. It goes to the heart of the libertarian ‘do no active harm’ mantra. The US has intervened in foreign wars for a century starting with the one with Spain. We have dispatched huge military forces to intervene in wars and wage wars with many foreign states and killed millions of foreigners while imposing our will upon other nations. We maintain a global military presence which provokes local'patroits and nationalists’ such as Al Quaida to attack our occupying forces. Those who serve in the US military are agents of imperialism and aggression and the murderers of foreigners innocent of doing any direct harm to the US. (9-11 was just the US getting paid back for its crimes against the Moslems so it is not defensible to conduct aggressive actions in Iraq and Astan.) So yes, R. Paul is basically saying ‘tough Chris Kyle got some deserved payback for his enormous crimes against the Iraqi people.' He is not a hero but a highly skilled hit man and murderer. These views are so both repulsive and detached from reality that it makes having a rational conversation with Libertarians impossible at a certain point. That is unfortunate as they are quite insightful as to monetary policy and the operation of the economy.
WRONG! They need to evaluate themselves that they can be suckered into being a pawn for his screwing up our election - and not surprising the same years that BHO&Romney both ran and the quest to squash conservationism. RP/POS was more than willing to help.
That makes sense, but I guess one needs to consider the inherent risks of doing so at a shooting range with someone who is already unstable.
Clearly it didn’t work in this case and in the future, people need to consider the stability of a PTSD person before going shooting with them.
That's true, and recently we haven't seen many even half decent candidates. I'd like to see a Republican candidate who wasn't faking his conservatism and could organize and execute a viable campaign. Hopefully we'll see some in 2016.
Stay Classy RP
Thanks for the response
I generally like Ron Paul, especially on domestic matters, however, I found what he said to be disgusting! It’s as if he’s doing a bit of a dance on the grave of this American Hero!! Totally sick and inappropriate.

You are correct !! What a shame..
What a waste.
Excellent observation. And I agree 100% The self righteous and the PaulBots were all too happy to vote for him or sit it out. Thanks you skanks.
