I'm sure we've all seen by now the "photo op" of President Obama shooting skeet. If he's shooting skeet then I'm Daffy Duck.
Now, what's wrong with the president's picture? First the weapon is nearly level to the ground. Can't be skeet shooting, nor likely trap either. Second, it is evident that the President has never shot a shotgun before as his stance is leaning slightly backward. Look at the position of his torso to his legs. Skeet or trap shooters never do this. They lean slightly forward like a boxer in the ring. Third, he doesn't know or was never taught that the butt of the weapon must fit to his shoulder. He's holding the weapon with a gap between his shoulder and the top of the butt. Sure you can fire it that way, but expect lots of pain if not bruising later.

It is like an actor's portfolio. They have staged photos of the actor doing everything. I'm sure there are photos of Obama flipping pancakes, on a swing set, and fighting pirates on the moon ready to use.

Eh, I’m disagreeing with the “he’s holding the gun in the wrong place” bit that everyone keeps running with. I’m small framed just like he is, and in order to shoot a shotgun comfortably I have to hold it in the same place - and it works just fine. It may be incorrect form, but there it is, and I’ve been shooting guns for many years.
He's not at Camp David now. I'd suppose that when he was there in the summer, they took a lot of publicity photos. Obama's at the pool, they take a picture of him there. Barack and Michelle go for a walk or look out a window, they take a picture. And they don't use most of them, so they have them lying around. What usually happens is a few years down the road the photographer comes out with a book of pictures that weren't used.
The whole "photoshopped" thing makes people a little kooky.
Things can look posed and "phony" or "fake" and still not be photoshopped.
How can the “smoke” exiting the right port be traveling vertical and yet there is no “smoke’ visible through the left port?
At the instant of fire that this picture purports, wouldn't the “smoke on the right side not even be visible at all, just the left side?
Isn’t the angle of the way he’s holding the gun wrong? It looks more like a target shot than skeet.

Looks like he was shooting from the far right, shooting directly at the building in the center.
Could he be shooting from the ladies tees? / sarc
Sucks at golf, sucks at b-ball...why assume he isn’t lame at skeet?
I keep looking at his eye level compared to the top of the barrel. How do you aim with your eye lower than the receiver?
That station has high skeet tower. (Building) but maybe, Im just not sure.
It’s mid-shot. With it high on the shoulder it’s going to dig and rise, immediately coming higher than eye level.
Or it’s all crap and solely for the photo-op.
Do you hold it pressed against your cheek like that?
I bet he was shooting a blank with a light load.
